Friends, a little help. I am looking for unaccompanied mass settings which are simple enough to teach to a congregation.
Apart from good ole Merbecke (which doesn't work with the language of A Prayer Book For Australia, what else is there?

We've sung Missa de Angelis perfectly well unaccompanied on a couple of occasions when the organist didn't turn up. It helps that we've a couple of folk who can belt out the tune confidently.

John Bell's St. Bride setting, which has Kyrie, Sanctus and Benedictus and Agnus Dei is fairly easy to sing without accompaniment, though it obviously helps if you have a couple of people who know it really well. The downside is that the language is not necessarily exactly what is in any particular prayer book. It's all cantor and response though so that's not so important. I learnt a lot of it without text, never mind music, whilst at university.

Cum jubilo (aka Missa Marialis) is also a nice one, though I'm not sure whether it will work with the Sydneyite prayer book. It does require strong voices to lead, as some of the melismas can be quite long.

David Hurd's New Plainsong is a fairly simple setting that could be sung either unaccompanied or accompanied, so you could even use it at your accompanied liturgies. Also, it uses the ICET "modern" (by 70s and 80s standards) liturgical texts.
Search "New Plainsong" at this website and you can see previews of some of the music. You can even listen to a piano version of the Gloria.
