Package arrived via Royal Mail, including an absolutely lovely card. Card and package are gracing the mantle until we get our tree up (hopefully later today).

I did try to send sardines, but they wouldn't stop wiggling about when I tried to tape the package shut. I'm sure the problem would have resolved itself eventually, but frankly I don't have that kind of patience.
No, elderkitty is somewhat confused anymore about what does and doesn't constitute an edible object; I awoke in the middle of the night to find that she had tried to eat a bird-shaped felt ornament off the Christmas tree.

Australian Pigeon Post dropped a package here today. As we had an unexpected fall of snow overnight it is a good job the bird was well wrapped in several layers of woolly jumpers, scarves and socks.
I managed to remove the customs declaration without reading it first, so the contents will be a surprise on Christmas Day.

It's nearly on its way. The reindeer arrived, looking a little chilly and the elves were positively frozen, so they're staying here tonight, being fed mulled wine and mince pies and they'll be sent on their way tomorrow with my parcel for foreign parts. It should get there in time, but I won't be posting it Sweevee (registered) just cheapy.

I had a bit of a delay, but got the package to the Post Office this morning. I think I'm just past the recommended date for getting parcels to the UK in time for Dec. 25. Fortunately there are twelve days of Christmas.

It's left these shores (well, these hands!) and now is on its way. Please can my Sender note that, if you sent my package to my MiL's house, I won't be there until 22nd, and may not get the chance to post that it has arrived until after the Big Day.

I am not like so many more patient Ship Mates. My parcel arrived today and was opened immediately.
It is a lovely little wooden San Pasqual, the Kitchen Saint. He in from Santa Fe, via Sant Cruz. There was a hook awaiting him in the kitchen, but he will go on my tree, which will be decorated tomorrow by Weedlet, until Twelfth Night.
It is a really lovely object. Thank you, Santa.

Snap Weeder. I have one too - which will also decorate my tree when it goes up. At the moment it's keeping a stained glass angel in my bedroom company.
Thank you (not so) Secret Santa - it's lovely and very timely - we're having a new kitchen installed at this very minute.

A parcel arrived today with Royal Mail stamps on it. Hooray! It has three (three!) pretty little gifts inside. They will be tucked into my Christmas stocking (once I get the Christmas decorations up ... I am so far behind!) awaiting the big day. I am so excited. Thank you, Secret Santa.

A parcel with two beautifully wrapped packages aeeived this morning before we went out. Darllenwr and the Smidgen puss are witnesses that I said I wouldn't open them until Christmas.
Meanwhile, a parcel was entrusted to Santa's elves to be put into his sack - just hope my Santee has been good this year.

Ooh! I just arrived home from a weekend away, to find that Santa had been and gone in my absence. I was sorry to miss him, but he left behind a large envelope from an exotic location. I am pretty sure what it is, and who it is from, but I shall wait until Christmas Day to open it!

And, in the grand tradition of saying things late,* I should mention I sent a package to Parts Distant and Only Slightly Known on Friday. Hopefully, if you, O Santee, ever get your package, you'll forgive my odd customs declaration** and bad handwriting.
*I have a close family friend whose loose deadline for sending Christmas cards is St. Patrick's Day. She's missed it before. **"Please don't confiscate it, I checked your regulations, I swear it's all legal" doesn't fit in those little boxes they give you to write in.
