In view of the interest, I'm starting a separate thread about a York meet.

I wonder whether it would be a good idea to do the same re- Bristol - more people might be aware locally.

Given our current state of tiredness, I'm going to suggest that we will be at the Rutland Arms around 600 on FRIDAY the 13th September, intending to drink and, in due course, have something to eat. We'll have been touring about and will be ready for refreshment. If no one else turns up, that's the wey it turns out. I'd guess we'll be there for an hour or two, so if you're able to come later, that would be doable.

Maybe someone should have warned you that jet-lag is a bummer when you're travelling eastwards. When we go over, I'm not worth tuppence for the first couple of days, and we've usually only got a 5½-hour flight (albeit overnight and arriving at silly o'clock in the morning).

Hope you have a wonderful holiday. [Smile]

I can not make the evening of 13th as I have a prior engagement. I will keep an eye on the York meet.

We'll be arriving in Norwich latish on the afternoon of the 29th -- we'll be looking for a place to eat an evening meal, and we'd love to have company and a suggestion as to a place (pub or not-too-expensive).

Ah, rats. There are about 5 different places I'd like to be on the evening of the 29th but definitely won't be in Norwich. Others might be around though and can offer suggestions for places to eat.

How's the Holdings' UK tour going? I caught up with it just off the M6 in Cheshire. I'm glad I did so.

I hope it's still on.

We have to drive in from near Cardiff, so 11:30 would be safe, giving time for us to look around and then meet.

I\ve had only intermittent web access until now, but I should be able to keep up with this thread from here on in.

I shall be in Bristol Cathedral Coffee shop at 11.30. I suggest we will wait for John and then take a wander up Park Street for lunch at Noon. Me, Leo, John, anyone else?

It is now in my diary so it must be going to happen.

Indeed - I still have to remember that people i 'know' via the web are real people with real lives!

Enjoyed meeting you all.

We might have had more quantity if we'd had a separate thread with 'Bristol' marked on it (3 shipmates in my own congregation hadn't registered that there was a meeting here today) - but most people had to go to work, poor sods.
