I was just listening to this, and laughing, and suddenly, I thought of you. I'm sure you'll understand why.

I've written a book! Catherine's Pascha: A celebration of Easter in the Orthodox Church. It's a lovely book for children. Take a look!

[Big Grin]

I Snopes'd that the other day- they list it as unverified, as only the caller and the employer have come forward to verify the phone message Still hilarious. But I got suspicious myself at [the part I am sure you are referring to], because how in the hell could the caller tell from a distance that it was [the thing I am sure you are referring to]?

Of course the caller seems to have gotten the name of the [thing] wrong, which if you were faking this all up, you wouldn't do. Unless he did it to show he wasn't faking it up. Hmm.

At any rate if all that laughter and snorting was acting, he needs to be in Hollywood yesterday.

It was fun to listen to that again! [Big Grin]
Would have been nice to describe the material on the outside of that misnamed item! Some are more 'non-yielding' than others.

Well, it could be that he himself has clocked people with said item, so therefore would know.

Perhaps for the benefit of those who aren't in on the joke we could have an explanation?

Thanks!

I hope Josephine won't mind if I help to translate this thread.

First, for those who can't get the link, a man causes a car crash and tries to intimidate the inhabitants of the other car...four little old ladies. They immediately set upon him, beating him with purses and umbrellas. A little Mother Goose-type lady (about four foot nothin') has a big bag, out of which spills a Bible that she commences to use to beat the stuffings out of the man.

Duchess is famous for her steel plated Bible, which I had always thought would be a magnificent weapon and attention getter.

Does this help? [Smile]

Maybe this version will work for the folks who can't access the OP link. Great stuff!

Jerks better look out when you hit the road, Duchess! [Big Grin]
