Obsene, perhaps. A sin? I don't know. Certainly such a person has more money than sense, it would seem.

Sounds like Monopoly money. I find it hard to get my head round such a sum.

Obscene, gross, ridiculous, shameful, bizarre, delusional, shocking, abhominable (deliberate spelling), wicked are just some of the words that spring to mind. It is such an indulgent waste of money that could have been used to alleviate hunger, illness, homelessness etc. Maybe 'sin' is somewhat dependent on motivation. To my way of thinking it is a sin.

Is it a sin to tell someone how they should spend their own money? Or, to criticise the spending decisions others make?

Don't cling to a mistake just because you spent a lot of time making it.

Hostly Bowler On

What do I think? I think it isn't an attack on a shipmate nor is it even a rant.

The OP doesn't make an argument that could lead to a debate, so I'm not going to offer it to my colleagues in Purgatory.

So I'll close it, that's what I think I'll do.
