A good friend's mother, Sheryl, died last week. Prayers for her (the deceased) and for her family would be appreciated.

And those of us who work in churches could use some prayers this week! (Especially those of us who are bipolar and under some stress...by which I mean myself, but I'm surely not the only one.)

For Grammatica, Churchy, Welease Woderwick's J.

For Churchgeek.

Repeating after Mary LA and malik3000 (melanoma be GONE!!!)

You know the verse "have no anxiety about anything"? that'd be a nice change for me. (Hint: further funding would greatly reduce my anxiety)

For a private intention.

[Votive] Prayers for everyone

In thanksgiving for good scan results -- situation basically unchanged, a very good thing. [Smile] [Votive]

for tomorrows's visit to the urologist re my prostate -- i am nervous, may i ask the right questions, and make the right decisions and may the urologist not be as cold and somewhat dismissive as i have gotten the (mistaken?) impression that he is [Votive]

But i am still in a state of shock over some very sad and totally unexpected news i got today while getting my scan results. I've mentioned how great the medical team is, in particular the nurse and the physician's assistant i mostly interact with. I learned from the physician's assistant that JL, the wonderful nurse, is no longer there. She is getting ready to enter a hospice. She has a cancer for which there is absolutely no therapy for, surgical, chemical or otherwise. I had no idea. I had just talked with her during my last month's visit. The news has utterly floored me. Prayers for JL and all who care for her. [Votive] [Votive] [Votive]

Praying for all by name. [Votive]

Thanks again for your prayers for my friend, E. The troublesome apprentice has been signed off with stress (ironic, considering the stress she inflicted on others!) I think she was given the wrong placement and needs prayer to find a more suitable placement/career. Special needs teaching is very specialised and you need to be a certain kind of person.

Today I have to do a disciplinary meeting for a member of my staff, which neither of us is looking forward to. Lord, give me wisdom and the right balance of justice and mercy.

We need prayers also, on financial, health and vocational problems: we are in jeopardy of losing our American health insurance at the end of the month - my union doesn't want to cover us for the next three months!

for wisdom and the right balance of justice and mercy (and for calmness and minimal or no stress) for Starbug at the disciplinary meeting today, and for the employee at the meeting that in the end the experience will be a positive learning and growth experience

for Starbug's troublesome apprentice to find a more suitable placement

for all teachers, teaching assistants and others engaged in special needs teaching

continued prayers for my friend JR who, for many years, has been a teaching assistant working with special needs students as he copes with poverty-level pay, recovery from the stroke (including having to scrape for money for needed continued medicines), and a school administration that wants to toss him aside -- may he get needed legal help in that last aspect -- and in thanksgiving for his church.

for The Midge's mum and dad, in thanksgiving for them passing the milestone of their golden anniversary

for Sir Kevin and family that they continue to have the health insurance they need

for telepath's private intention

for all suffering in the eastern U.S. from the cold weather

for all suffering from any kind of cancer or other difficult diseases and for the health professionals working with them

for nicolemr and her family

for all stuck in poverty, whether working or unemployed

for a stop to the slaughter for economic reasons of elephants and other animals. for those engaged in this horrible business whose own sometimes precarious economic situation is being exploited by by the criminal economic enterprises behind it. That all of us, creations of God's love, may be able to live respected lives as God's wants us to be able to live.

For healing for malik3000.

For JL and all who care for her.

For JR, for recovery and financial and career needs to be met.

For Starbug's friend E, and for the apprentice to find a more suitable placement. For the member of staff being disciplined and for the right balance of justice and mercy for Starbug.

For The Midge and for mum and dad Midge.

For continuity of health insurance for Sir Kevin and Zeke. For resolution of other financial, health and vocational problems.

For nicolemr and her family.

For the elephants.

For healing for Quine-In-Law.

For daisydaisy's Truffles, for healing.

(Visiting Cat came in for breakfast yesterday morning all clean and dry. His anxiety seems to be greatly reduced, and he is far more communicative; a psychological breakthrough if you ask me)

I found a copy of The Money Diet for 25p today… it was sticking right out of the bookshelf, waiting for me to pick it up. Talk about swift provision of guidance [Hot and Hormonal] Now let's see how helpful it would be if I actually did it [Help]

And for continued employment pls, kthx

daisydaisy, i don't think it minor when any sentient, feeling creature is injured and is in pain. You and Truffles are both in my prayers and may Truffles soon be free of pain and healed. And God bless you for caring. A candle for each of you.

For the many small business owners in my county who were vandalized this weekend. Over 70 windows were shot out, probably with a BB pistol. The damage will be costly for many to repair.

And for the vandals themselves, for repentance when they are brought to justice (may it be quickly).

For all asking our prayers, for cats and elephants and all sentient beings.

Thank you so much for your prayers for my disciplinary meeting. On investigation, there wasn't enough evidence to take formal action against the employee. Instead,we have agreed a number of informal measure that should (hopefully) protect both him and our customers. He seems to attract random complaints about his behaviour, that are sometimes justified and sometimes the results of a lack of confidence. Now I just have to twll mu boss, who wanted to me to throw the book at him! [Help]

A relatively minor request but I've had a horrible stomach bug all week and I can't seem to get rid of it. I've missed a week of work, which is a problem in itself, and I just feel dreadful. I need to be able to keep toast down and sit for more than five minutes without feeling like I'm about to pass out.

But ever blahness has a silver lining, much prayers of gratitude to my friend D who has gone out of her way to look after me. (And no I'm not blaming her 15 month old son who gave me the damn thing!)

Praying for all [Votive]

And if you could pray for me it would be really appreciated... Nothing major, but I've been feeling low since the end of last year with one thing and another and now I've got another bad cold on top of everything else [Frown]

For U. who made a worrying post online a couple of days ago, has gone to the hospital, and not been heard from since.

For daisymay and cat.

For Lamb Chopped's annual review.

For Sir Kevin's neighbour and her son in the loss of their dog.

For those suffering vandalism in Grammatica's area, and for the vandals themselves.

For the employee that Starbug has to discipline.

For a refund for daisymay.

For Niteowl and her mother.

For healing for chive.

For Spiffy.

For more good days for Sir Kevin.

For Chamois' mum.

For Abigail, for healing.

For continued employment. I'd like to practice having no anxiety about this, but it feels like doing nothing to solve the problem.

For bannination of the Finance Monster. I've decided to write down everything I *don't* spend, and I haven't spent £18 already. I could get really good at this. Although it does seem a bit slack of me to have not spent £18 when I could have not spent £118 or £180. I need to try harder.

For Visiting Cat, who is enjoying the sofa for longer stretches every day and who is probably more relaxed and content right now than he has been in his entire life.

For O., going through a series of rough times.

For R.

For the Telemum.
