Thank you so much to everyone who prayed for me yesterday. I don't remember anything at all about the colonoscopy! Just a bit sore around the middle today. And the good news is that I definitely don't have cancer! That was the first thing the specialist said to me afterwards. He's taken some biopsies and I'll get the results in 3-4 weeks, but I'm really not so worried now. Thank you all for your prayers; I'm so grateful for your support.
Stercus Tauri, I pray that your operation will go well tomorrow.

I'm still feeling ill - coughing and sneezing, with pain in my mouth at the back, and not able to speak properly. My doctor was useful - he checked my heart, my nose, my mouth, my ears, my blood etc and has given me medication, but he said it may last for 2 weeks! I hope I sleep well tonight and feel better tomorrow.

Just learned that one potential funding source fell through - ages ago, and the boss forgot to tell me.
That realistically leaves only one thing. I need to have faith, not worry about the next day, generally manage my anxiety about this.

After 7 years of being a family of 6 squeezed into a grotty council flat with 2 bedrooms, they have finally got near the top of the housing list. They viewed a house this week that seems suitable. Please pray for a good new home for them.

Please pray for a mate from work, K, who died in a car crash yesterday. Please also pray for his wife and his two young daughters.
Our work has been through a hard time recently with cancer diagnoses, heart attacks and a terrible incident where a 15 year old boy died despite my colleagues giving cpr. This is one more awful thing on top. Please pray for us as we get through this and that things will be more positive soon.

For chive's K, for his wife and two daughters and all who will mourn the loss of him. For everyone at chive's workplace to stay positive through all the bad luck that has been hitting them so hard. For the family of the boy who died, and the colleagues who tried to save him.
I am a bit upset that I thought one thing was happening with funding for my post when all this time it wasn't. I don't think I'd have done anything differently. But I would really like to continue in this particular job so please pray for guidance and good luck, and also that I'll make the most of it from here to the finish whenever that is.

Found the Wayfarers in the glovebox of my new Ford!
Continued prayers needed for Z's career: she had a lovely interview yesterday evening with a Scottish headmaster who runs a local school. She has a long-term supply position through the end of the month and then should be called in to teach a sample high school English lesson at the new school. God willing.

Dear Lord, give us strength to see your loving hand in all that happens, even when we might fervently want it to be otherwise.
My fragile friend R., still not fully over the loss of his mother two years back, recently lost an aunt, his mother's sister. And yesterday he learned that one of his best friends from way back had been murdered by a coward from behind as he went about his job as a bail bondsman. Please pray for R., his aunt and his friend.

that nicolemr's brother T will very soon have a job and that it will be a good one
for continuing prayers for my cousin C, filled with energy and talent, but needing a mature longterm focus -- but also needing meaningful and realistic opportunities

and for all needs unexpressed and needs not realised or understood
for all struggling to survive
