I would really appreicate prayers for my brother, who has just been admitted to hospital with a foot infection - serious because he's diabetic. The doctor says he has a 50% chance of losing at least one toe.

For all
I could use prayers that I quickly locate -- in the next couple of days or so -- a good appropriate oncological/urological specialist for the important 2nd opinion regarding the best course to follow in treating the prostate cancer. I haven't found one yet. (And thanks be to God that otherwise things are going well in my life)

May I respectfully request prayers from anyone who feels so inclined for my friend J., who's going into hospital on Monday for fairly major (but routine) surgery and is very nervous about it?
Thank you.

Please pray for the repose of Lois, known to our community as Granny. She died this morning after struggling with various illnesses that come with advanced age. I dont know how old she was- in her 90s somewhere.
Granny was everyone's granny, (even her peers called her that) but she chose children to be her "babies" -children she cared for in her home and treated as her grandchildren forever. One every five years or so became her new "baby". Chasee#3 was her last baby before her health became too challenging. Others of her babies- aged 30 to 16 or so, are all checking on him tonight. It's sort of a special club. He's still in shock and cant really believe his Granny isnt here. So please also spare a prayer for him and the other babies, as well as her 3 daughters and her blood grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was a devout Christian*, the strongest person in their faith I have ever known, so the prayers would be very meaningful to her.
We've lost a treasure, today.
*she used to call me her "little papist" after seeing my orthodox icons. I think all "older" denominations were the same to her! (I'm actually a lapsed Anglican)

Please add Chasee#2 to your list. It's finals week and his graduation is on the line. He needs clarity, faith in himself, and CALM! Losing Granny yesterday makes it extra difficult. He can use all you can spare.

Still thanking all for the many prayers. More surgery in a week for what could be the last of the cancer, and the prospect is now good after such a bad beginning. My prayers of thanks for those who are supporting us, for the gifted people who are treating me, and prayers for comfort and strength for those who are facing more difficult times ahead.
Peace to all -

For healing for jedijudy's J, and strength for her family. (I'm surprised she isn't in worse shape after having a tractor fall on her!!!)
For an immediate solution to malik3000's search. And, melanoma be gone! Prostate cancer be gone!
For Grammatica to finish her work in good order and for it to be well done.
For piglet's J, for healing.
For comet, Chasee#2, Chasee#3, and all of Lois' "Grandchildren", as well as Lois' 3 daughters and blood grandchildren and great grandchildren.
For balaam, for healing.
For clarity, faith in himself, and calm for Chasee#2 during finals week.
For healing for Stercus Tauri.
For Taliesin's parents.
I have applied for 5 jobs today, but it was a very discouraging search. I also think the new online system has transposed some details from last year's applications, and also, partway through, the system started hiding the job descriptions. I thought they just weren't there, so I made the applications without benefit of detailed job descriptions, then realised the system was just hiding them and I had to find a roundabout way to get them.
I don't necessarily think these are unrecoverable errors, but I had no choice but to email 3 of the hiring managers explaining that outdated information could have got through. EMBARRASSING
Once an application's been made, it can't be recalled. There aren't many chances out there right now, and I don't want to blow the ones I have.
Also I just spent an entire Bank Holiday doing job-related chores and I just want it to pay off big time.
For the Telemum, who is cross because her cataracts have regrown and she can't see a damn thing or read or anything.
I have to go in tomorrow and explain to Boss that there are enough hours in the day for me to make the project succeed, but not enough to do the dazzling demo that he wants as proof of concept to get more funding. I just can't physically do both in the time I have available.
I'm going to write a new prayer called the GRAR prayer.

Ariel, Grammatica, all affected by the fire in Windsor town centre.
For continuous employment for me, that's as good as or better than what I've already got.
For the Telemum.
For J. And S. S leaves behind a huge project that is only just stable. For stability all round.

Thankfully, and amazingly, in view of how ferocious the fire was and that it was a town house, no one was injured in the fire in Windsor. The house was empty and being renovated, and the people in the next house were away.
For balaam - for comfort, healing and a good night's rest

For all who are or have been captive in any way. (Thinking especially of the women and little girl in Ohio, Jayce Dugard, etc.)
For me: straightening out my Internet connection at home SOON. (I rarely get out, so it's an important lifeline for me. Am using a public computer right now.) Also quieting various health flare-ups.
Thanks!
