Could I ask for prayers for an acquaintance S, who found her husband P dead after coming home from work on Wednesday. He hadn't been ill, so there'll be an inquiry. Very upsetting for his family and friends.

Also a friend from my housegroup, J, who has just been diagnosed with melanoma.

Many thanks.

Praying through. [Votive]

Test results came back, and I'm likely going to need some form of surgical intervention. It'll be up to my doctor and me to arm wrestle out where it'll fall on the minor to major spectrum. I'm going to argue for major because the organs in question aren't going to be used and are just more trouble than they're worth.

I would appreciate prayers for a nagging health issue. I haven't really felt well since the middle of April. Also have far too much to do in the next three weeks to prepare for traveling to the UK for 2 months. Every time I tell myself that this year it will be different and I will have everything organised in advance...but it never happens...

For healing and productivity for Lucia.

For Raptor Eye, for restoration of strength. For J and F to be comforted in their loss.

Some people are being uncommunicative and may be incommunicado. I need communication! And I need not to be pushy in order to get it!

And too much to do, too little time, etc. If not for good habit forming I wouldn't be doing all this stuff… maybe I liked my bad habits better? Yes? No?

For the Telemum.

For K., K., R., and R.

my friend Tabitha has fought for something like 7 years against infertility. last fall, she finally had a beautiful baby girl, though early and with some dangers involved. Little Sophia came home after a month or so and all was well.

Thursday, Tabby was diagnosed with cancer, in her lungs and brain. (lifelong non-smoker, and non-smoking family). It's so damned unfair!

Please pray for Tabby and Tim and Sophia, and Tabby's extended family that are being heros right now and have had a lot of their plates the last few years. They are very close to our family and it bugs me to be so far away.

for Lucia's nagging health issue to be totally banished and that everything will be settled non-stressfully for her trip to the UK

for quick job-hunting success for nicolemr's brother

for Raptor Eye to be uplifted in body and spirit

for comfort and strength for Raptor Eye's J and F in the bereavement and that the one for whom they mourn may have eternal joy in God's kingdom of peace

for success for Mad Cat' and Mad Cat's students in the new class

for the needed communication for Telepath and for smooth success in all she has to do, for victory over the finance monster, and health and happiness for the Telemum

for healing for Tabitha, Tim and Sophia and for Tabby's extended family

for everyone

for my platelet levels to be up where they need to be on Tuesday so I can get my scheduled anti-melanoma medicine.
And re my prostate cancer, for me to get the best possible info about the best choice to make for treating and that I may put myself in the hands of the best possible medical specialist. This 2nd situation is actually more stressful than the melanoma situation -- BUT NOT horribly so -- actually I'm feeling great -- ,
but there are actually more choices and possible outcomes to be made in a relatively short time (I am learning new things almost everyday, some of which I wish I'd known before I made this particular appointment)
and may i have a doctor who won't treat me like a piece of meat, may I have/regain urological and sexual functioning after whatever treatment I choose. I need to learn a lot in a short time (like a week).
For a safe and smooth trip to NY. And may my finances hold up sufficiently for my trip to NY and at the same pay for a trusted person to house-sit while I am gone from ATL and then after that to pay the rent and other bills.
And in thanksgiving that I still feel wonderfully healthy anyway.

For my cousin C, for wisdom and maturity

For my friend/non-genetic brother J (who will be house-sitting for me) may his financial woes somehow come to an end

for my friend L -- that he may find purpose and have spiritual abundance in in his life

Also praying that I may somehow be able to fit five days' work into three and a half days this week. On Friday I'm on a training course and the other half day is P's funeral tomorrow, which I'm determined to attend. And yet the emails still keep coming. I'm away at a union conference next week, so desperately need to clear away some of my outstanding work.

Please pray for R and S, and for our small church community, as we prepare for P's funeral and the thanksgiving service to follow. No-one is allowed to wear black, whcih is just typical of him.

Thank you for all the prayers for my mother in law. My husband is up there visiting. They haven't let her out of hospital yet, but apparently she's very bright and cheerful.
For Holjo and family
For all with too much to do and not enough time to do it and for all who post here.
It's minor on the great scale of things but my son isn't having any luck with getting a job. The reason for not getting the last one was that they perceived him as not being enthusiastic enough. He's not that sort of person. He's pretty depressed about it all at the moment, but unless you know him very well you wouldn't guess -he doesn't do overt emotion. Prayer please that soemthing turns up for him soon.

This morning I have had an e-mail from a friend in the village where my parents used to live to say that her husband is undergoing chemotherapy again:

quote:
Lymphoma again but not the same one. It is apparently most unusual for a person to have two different types of lymphoma. Anyway we are on that road again. First treatment last Tuesday. One down and seven to go. No major side effects yet.

Thanks to all who have prayed already, but please could I ask for further prayers for my colleagues at work. Four people have applied for the one promotion opportunity, so at least three are going to be disappointed. The interviews are tomorrow. Please pray for a fair process and a fair outcome - it's a difficult situation for all sorts of reasons.

Thank you.

Please pray for the repose of the soul of my dear former singing teacher D. She died on Sunday night, at no age at all, but I understand she'd been ill for some time.

Please pray for her boy C, for L who was a rock to her, and who she supported tirelessly in her turn, and for the rest of her family.

Many people will miss her terribly, but her influence will live on in all the singers she trained with such humour, wisdom and rigour.

RIP Dee - Saturday's Handel's for you, for all those glasses of wine. [Votive]

And for Telepath, that her whelmed be lessened, so that she is neither overwhelmed, nor underwhelmed, but perfectly whelmed.
