I arrived in Brisbane on Tuesday, and have spent some wonderful last days with my Grandad and the rest of the family. On Tuesday, especially, Grandad was often awake and responsive, gesturing with his arm for hugs.

Grandad died peacefully earlier this afternoon, with Grandma and me both there to be with him as he passed. There's a sense of pain and loss at his passing, but above all a feeling of love while reflecting on the contribution he's made to my life and the lives of so many others.

May Grandad rest in the Lord and rise in glory. Please pray for me and all the passing as we adjust to Grandad's passing and prepare for his funeral.

I have an important meeting on Monday - a discharge (from hospital) meeting for a somewhat challenging family. Please pray that I will be able to get to it - there are 6 children (who don't see eye to eye) and 3 professionals involved, and it's been a nightmare to co-ordinate. I really don't need to cancel because of the snow.
Please pray for me on Tuesday - I have a disciplinary hearing because of my sickness abscences - 5 seperate occasions amounting to 13 days over the last 12 months. One part of me knows I don't really have anything to worry about as I am already seeing the Occ Health nurse who is very supportive, but another part of me is alternatively seething and panicking. I have even joined the union to have a union rep with me - she's someone I've known and liked for a number of years and her husband has MS, so she knows how the condition can affect.

Praying for all by name. [Votive] Thank you, Telepath, for your, regular lists.

I'd value some prayers for a doctor's appointment this morning, please. My insides haven't been behaving themselves and I've now got to the point where I don't know if there really is a problem or my imaginating are making it worse because I'm thinking the worst! Thank you.

For Rowen especially, and all affected by the Bush Fires.

For healing for Sioni's D.

For Starbug, for healing.

For Anna B, for healing.

For North East Quine's H, for healing, and for calm for his mother and wider family.

For the Telemum. Her knees and parathyroids are giving her gyp.

I have this foolish temporary notion that my work is up to date and all is well. Please let that be true.

For Rector C., St Spike's, and Amazing Grace for healing, courage and strength and successful conflict resolution.

For Kelly not to get sick.

For Starbug's bowels to learn anger management.

For me to replenish the piggy bank after the Finance Monster's been at it.

For the Telemum.

Guess it's time for me to start praying for continued employment again. Stop me if you've heard it.

Lord, hear our prayers as we struggle to cope with financial and other hardships, sickness, strife, grief, and all the rest. And thank you, Lord, for the blessings you have sent our way.

Please say a prayer for my sister-in-law Rhonda, who is in bed with a very bad case of the flu. And for my friend R. who is once again dealing with unpleasantries at his job.
