A young family I know who going through a divorce are greatly in need of prayer, I fear the mother might be about to make a terrible decision for both herself and her children. Please pray for God to protect and support all members of the family and guide the parents in their decision-making during this difficult time. I also worry about the mother's mental status, please pray for this.

I have an exam tomorrow, some prayers for that would be good [Smile]
Many thanks

Your prayers this week would be appreciate. It is Mum's funeral on Friday and Saturday this week. I am dreading it but also want to move on.

The week got even worse yesterday though when one of our lovely kittens was killed by a car. So sad [Frown]

For the Telemum.

I thought of a solution to the impossible problem! Now all I need is the other parties' buy-in. Unless they're extremely unreasonable I don't see why they shouldn't cooperate. However, one of them has been extremely unreasonable up to now so...

Praying thru [Votive]

I'm starting to think that our department is cursed. Now M's father is dying and she's gone to be with him. This is the third family tragedy to affect our unit in 6 weeks. Please pray for M and family (3 siblings, assorted in-laws and assorted grandkids) & for those of us remaining on staff here, trying to pick up the slack. M and her husband (who is also in our department) are both senior staff, so there's a lot of slack to pick up. And some of us juniors are struggling to keep up.

Argh.

Okay, I am not officially a basket case!

JB and I come home on Saturday only to hear from our next door neighbor that our dog hasn't been seen since yesterday (Friday) when she didn't show up for dinner. WE WAIT.

It is now Monday and over the weekend, we have walked all over the property, looking under everything, walked down the arroyo, walked up the arroyo and NOTHING! No dog, no nothing.

I know she is old, (15 years) has a couple of brain cells working and has arthritis, but I am upset. I turned into a crying idiot at church and left, can't stop crying, didn't sleep most of the night, keep looking out the window and sobbing. I am miserable. Can't seem to concentrate on tasks, don't want to eat. I have to pull myself together and I'm not doing well.

I know she is just a DOG, but she was my companion for 10 years and I miss her so much. The other dog is still here, but our old girl was special.

LORD, please help me cope with this.

For DP, who unexpectedly lost her sister this past week, and for our nephew Tim, who in addition to losing his mother is also caring for his terminally ill father, working full-time and going to grad school. Without getting into details, my sister-in-law's life was very troubled -- we hadn't heard from her in months, until our nephew let us know she'd moved in with him -- and there's just a lot of sorrow for the course her life had taken and lots of conflicting emotions on our parts, as well as concern for the burdens Tim is carrying.

My oldest brother (62) who is learning disabled has been offered a place in a retirement Village at a weekly rental. This is good news as the family home where he has lived for most of his life is not suitable. He visits to look at the place on Thursday and both my youngest brother and I are worried he may panic at the immensity of the change and decide against going.

I can't go up there until Tuesday as I have an urgent hospital appointment on Monday (the thought of which is scaring me into a blithering wreck).

Your prayers would be appreciated for all of us.

I'm having elective surgery Friday. The surgery isn't too scary, all the pre-op testing is done and fine, but the two-weeks of dietary prep have been no fun.

Prayers that everything goes smoothly and nothing comes crashing down in the last couple-few days causing me to have to re-schedule would be greatly appreciated.

For someone who had a work-related breakdown, was put into a position where she ended up taking early retirement through ill health, and three years later is still so traumatized that she cannot bring herself to go down the street where her former office is.

For anyone in an unhappy work situation. There are altogether too many abuses of power and too many people who relish it.

And for everybody here.
