If you are able I'd appreciate some prayers for a difficult conversation with a student's mum...I think I need to stop the lessons as J isn't bovvered in the least and I feel like I'm taking money under false pretences...but it is rather tricky to admit to failure, and to say that "your daughter is wasting your money and my time"

for everyone here, and for everyone (human and otherwise) they are praying for, by name and need

I see my oncologist today about the status of my prostate cancer: may all be well and stable

for mama cat and her 4 babies (6 days old (who are in a cozy nursery i made for them on my enclosed porch))

for me to take care of all the important pieces of business i have not yet taken care of

that sanity and humanity may descend upon my country of residence (the US)

for all suffering in wars, particularly the Great War of Africa, which has killed millions in DR Congo and vicinity

in thanksgiving for all who pray here

For Malik3000, that today's visit with the oncologist goes well and the cancer is staying stable, just as you said; also for the kitties to be warm, comfy and healthy on your enclosed porch [Votive]

I've got a presentation to make to a public forum on Monday. Please pray that I do well. Assuming I've got hold of a good idea and a good plan (and I suppose I think I do) this could be very important to the future of my little town. Pray I do the right thing for the city and manage to keep myself consistently on the side of growth, light, progress, all those things as the inevitable political working-out of the initial idea takes place.

And also, please pray I might have the self-discipline and focus I need to be effective in my job in the months ahead. I've been a little chaotic lately.

[Votive] Praying for each by name and need

[Votive] Mama Cat moved her 4 babies off my porch to an unknown location (a neighbour saw it happening). I nelieve she just wanted to put them in a more private place as people she didn't know were coming up on the porch and I think it made her nervous (not that anyone was doing anything negative but I think it was just too much unfamiliarity for her). I'm pretty sure they are well, mama usually knows best after all, but I'm praying, and I miss seeing them. She shows up several times a day to play and and get and give affection (I make sure she eats well as she's doing it for 5!) I guess i'll see them when they start being weaned and show u with mama, but i'm still praying and hope they are OK.

Prayers for my mum. The medication she has been put has given her dreadful nausea for the past week.

She has asked me to take a day off work and come to see her (she's 3 hours away by train so I am going tonight). This is not something she would normally do, so she really must be going through it.

We buried Mum on Friday and had a service of celebration on Saturday - we reckon about 400 people turned up and it was a lovely service.

Yesterday about 25 of my close family all came down with a D&V bug. Whilst The Mister, Little Mister and I aren't too bad we all feel a bit off colour and The Mister is working nights.

I had a reasonable nights sleep but kept waking up thinking Mum was dead in my bed. I am missing her so much this morning because I just want to phone her for a chat.

Please pray for strength and health for all of us today. I just want to cry.

I'm struggling for words. I saw a specialist today. She was a lovely woman who had lots of reassuring words about statistical chances of this and that and ordered more invasive tests. Two of the statistically low possibilities are different cancers.

The worst thing was coming home and having no one to tell. I have never felt so lonely in my life/

If's not the possibility of dying, both are easily treatable - it's the aloneness of facing even more invasive procedures.

sorry to be bloggy, but putting it into words has helped.
