reading praying
and this evening, I have to do quite a lot leading in the church, about getting to people to pray about people throughout in the world, and light candles. I used to do a lot in church, but this time I share with two ordained ones.
and my son who is a music person in another church, has to play music and also have to take his little children, as his wife is ill. ![[Votive]](graemlins/votive.gif)

Christmas blues starting to kick in. Going to church this morning and, I hope, Carol Service this evening. Its very hard for reasons I can't really explain. Praying that the person I need to talk to will be available to talk. Everyone's so busy at this time of year. Makes me feel even more isolated.

Praying through.
Catching up with this thread after a bout of flu - it's good to be back. I lit a candle in church yesterday for everyone on this thread, in lieu of missed prayers.

For S.’s dad, for continued healing.
For the safety of Doublethink’s colleague.
For LeRoc.
For Doc Tor.
For Grammatica’s bad habit abolition. (Me too pls)
For Abigail, for good cheer and someone to talk to whenever needed.
For daisymay, her son, his wife B, their children.
For Pete on his travels.
For Churchgeek in his job hunt.
I’ll never get caught up with this.
For the ongoing dragging horrible hideous never-ending task… which I hope and pray is now entering its easy last phases… to just BE ACCOMPLISHED already and STOP RUINING MY LIFE and START ENHANCING IT.
Oh and it’s review time for me at work this week. I think rationally, I have nothing to worry about but uh, you know how I get these Vietnam flashbacks all the same? well...
For S., for healing.
For G., for healing and success.
For the Telemum.
For Visiting Cat, who is more terrified than ever and who only comes in once a day and who really needs his nerves settled... the Telemum is opposed to Feliway for what seem like entirely superstitious reasons... so I have a ministry of making cats happy and I'm failing at it.

Praying for all by name.
At the risk of sounding like a broken record, please could I ask for prayer about my workload? Dealing with the miscreant member of staff in November had already put me behind by several weeks, but then last week's flu has made it worse. I have project work that must be finished by the end of January, but the staff thing has also left me with an action plan that I need to enact urgently. And on top of that, I've hit a sickness trigger and there are some broken things affecting my team that I can't fix. Starting to feel very stressed. ![[Help]](graemlins/help.gif) [ 17. Starbug And all who have asked for prayers
I have a difficult day at work today. And I'm also dreading the Office Christmas Party on Friday. Your prayers that both will go smoothly would be appreciated.

I'm half way through a heavy batch of marking but it seems to be going okay, please pray that I can continue to focus on getting my job done. I also have an important decision to make re: my workload, I am considering reducing it but this will have financial implications. Please pray for wisdom in my decision making. Many thanks

for the wife and children of Abbas Khan
for the people of Syria
for Starbug and Starbug's team
for me to keep it together at work (I've just had two week's sick leave with stress; I believe that problems in the workplace which are beyond my control were the main cause, but I feel like I'm being blamed for it all; there are going to be significant changes to my workplace over the next six months which I believe will be positive for my well-being and performance; I need to not screw up or end up facing disciplinary procedures until then. I love my job. I'm coming to realize that one day I may need to change to a slightly less high-pressured and full-on role, but I hope that that day is still a few months or years away.)

Their family was gathering at their place for Christmas, it now looks as J will still be in hospital.

For Pancho's family emergency.
**whew** appraisal was a complete formality. Boss had said he wanted to review the project plan, but he'd forgotten about that part so I got through it scot free.
I counted it up and in 2013 I have had two performance appraisals, one redeployment meeting, two public project reviews and two job interviews. EVERYTHING HAPPENS SO MUCH ::passes out::
