A friend of mine works for a charity in South Sudan, which is not currently the best place in the world to be! Please pray for safety for him and the team he works with and for them continuing to do a difficult job in what are currently extra-complicated circumstances.

I had an SMS from my young friend M [24] asking if he could come round for a hug. He is in a confused place in his life - confused about direction and prayer and calling and all sorts - yes, in some senses typical 24 year old male but with a deep awareness and compassion as well.
Please uphold him if you can. Thanks.

"My" 11 year-old (V) at the centre where I teach has told me his mum has asked his dad for a divorce. I'm not quite sure how accurate this information is, as when I thought his grandfather had died, a few weeks later he was much better & out of hospital, and I'm often subjected to crazy stories about his life that sound slightly far-fetched or contain info I know to be false. He was really badly behaved on Friday, and he's only like that when he's miserable, so perhaps it is true. Prayers for all involved would be good though.

For all who have posted here and all who cannot this Advent - may they be filled with the love of God.
Please pray for my teeth tomorrow - a small thing compared to a lot of things on here but it's my real phobia and I've spent the week on mega-antibiotics in prep for one tooth being taken out tomorrow and I'm scared. Thank you.

I am so sorry, Pete. Prayers for you and your niece.
Today has seen the 25th anniversary of the Lockerbie bombing. This is in my part of the world. Please would you pray for the folks of Lockerbie and the surrounding areas, as they relive traumatic memories. And also please pray for the bereaved, both here and in the US, and wherever they are. And lastly, give thanks for the lives of all who died, for they were loved and they have not been forgotten.
Thank you.
