For my colleague J's mother - she was taken ill on Friday. For J as he travels quite a distance back and forth to be there as needed, and for the rest of the family.
Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayers.

Please pray for my brother-in-law Sean. After a worrying few years, seizures and a bleed in the brain due to a venous malformation, we thought last year that everything was fine, he was seizure free for a year and the AVM had gone. Tonight he had another seizure and is in hospital having brain scans. He and my sister Nicky live in Dublin so cannot run to be with her, can just pray ![[Votive]](graemlins/votive.gif)

So I get to work on Valentine's day, which is a busy day for us there, and start off my day.
Then I feel an itch somewhere unusual and go to take a look.
Hmm...that's a red larger then I thought annoying something with....what...oh. Maybe its just a pimple. Stress related. Yeah, that's it.
Still there a few days later.
Long weekend here so seeing the Doc tomorrow. Probably not much but the last time somebody said that about something on my skin, it turned out to be a good thing the Dermatologist removed it.
Everything is screaming innocuous. Still worrying the wife, and me. And of course its all going to take a bit of time to sort out, no matter what. ![[Frown]](frown.gif)

For A and J whose first child was born and died yesterday. They had known since halfway through the pregnancy that he had a congenital malformation and would not survive but chose to continue the pregnancy anyway. For God's comfort for them as they grieve.

For D who is facing unemployment for the first time in his life and at his age learning to use a computer is proving slow work. Prayers please that our local unemployment place will show some compassion and understanding, rather than huffing, puffing, threatening and upsetting D when he gets on-line stuff wrong.
And prayers for the great folk who run the many housing association/ church based/ community Job Clubs. Thus hopefully reducing the ridicule that some feel when faced with staff...who no doubt have their own targets to meet.

Please pray for our son B. He has just survived a vicious bout of a rare water-borne infection, and next week is being sent for MRI and other tests to rule out the possibility of any underlying factors. I survived bowel cancer, so this must be somewhere in the back of his mind as well as that of the doctor. Much anxiety for him, and for us, living in another country.

Prayers for a peaceful solution in Ukraine, please.
And for one of our city officials, a good man, and his wife and remaining son. Their eldest son, full of promise, went to bed one night about a month ago and never woke up. They still don't know what caused his death. People have rallied around the family in a wonderful way, but their pain is continuing.

OK, convoluted prayer request.
I have applied for a teaching residency program. One of the sister schools connected to the program is one to which I Applied before but totally tanked the interview. (Someone picked a fight with me hours before I interviewed.)
I would like to get a do-over. Even if I don't get the position, I would like to feel I nailed the interview.Of course, prayers that I get a placement that will allow me to use the gifts God gave me.

for all in need. I'd be grateful for any prayers you can spare as the PTB at my work decide whether my contract can be renewed - I love my job and the prospect of having to look for another one at my age (52) is terrifying. Thank you.
