For success for Lamb Chopped at the job fair.

For Himself’s brother.

For Adrienne, for healing.

For Lucia’s E, for healing. For her husband W and their two children.

For Ethne Alba to get the fly out of the ointment…

For healing for Mr Bee

For Taliesin’s M, and for the rest of the family to have compassion and patience and strength. For the putative conman.

I need to finish the thing. I need to do my day job. I want the thing to be finished by tomorrow so I can do only my day job. Please let me finish the thing. Please let it be a brilliant thing.

For the Telemum.

For the F. family.

For S., for healing.

For T. and his daughter.

For R.

For G.’s son to get home safe.

For the first time in my life I have some really nasty back pain, right low down. I have tried lying down flat, face down (which I'm not used to) and on my back (which makes me snore) while lying on either side isn't comfortable all.

I have therefore turned to Plan B. B stands for Beer, and after three pints at lunchtime I feel quite a bit better! Here's hoping (and praying) it doesn't turn me into a drunk, albeit one with little or no back pain.

Please pray for the Bs, a family where all kinds of nasty stuff has just crawled out of the family history and is causing major grief today.

And for me--the job fair went okay, but I still haven't had a nibble on my applications. And depression is creeping up on me.

I'd appreciate prayers for my niece and her husband, R, who within the space of a few weeks have found out they're expecting their first child, and also that R's mother won't live long enough to see her first grandchild. R already lost his dad when he was a young boy, and the only other member of his immediate family lives on the other side of the world. Fuck cancer.

R [my brother in law] came home from a week in hospital last night - he is on a fairly strict regimen of medication and rest and they hope, eventually, to be able to do an angioplasty but at the moment his low kidney functions prevents that. Hopefully today he will get to see his baby, born 21st Feb, for only the second time.

Asking for your prayers for Christchurch, NZ. There are over 4000 houses awaiting re-building in Christchurch and many people living in crowded situations, or who cannot find rental accommodation as the prices have skyrocketed. 1st March was the first day of autumn so winter is not far away.

Disputes with insurance companies are holding things up, and there is infighting between local and Central government.

Also for Z, who is unwell.

Please pray for Miss R, one of my pupils. She needs to move out of my class into the set above to be more appropriately challenged. She's unwilling to do so - she wants to stay with her friends in my class, and she can feel clever being in the top three for everything.

Please pray that she finds the wisdom and courage she needs to accept the change, and that her family gives her the right support.

Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayers. [Votive]

Your prayers would be appreciated, please, for J, as the trial of her son's murderer starts this week.

And also for me, as I have a sickness absence review meeting on Wednesday with my manager. I believe that my job has been making me ill, but my manager says he has no concerns - even though one of my absences was soon after I had a meeting with him to discuss stress. I had to ask for this review and I think he's seeing it as a challenge to his authority, when my intention is to make him aware of just jow unhealthy our department is at the moment.
