Abigail, time out from church helped me. Praying you'll find your path. I'm the same age as you; that landmark looms!

Sorry to double post. Mr Bee and I will discover the results of his biopsy later this week. He is very worried. We really don't want more treatment. [Frown]

[Votive] For all here.

Prayers for me, please. The situation I mentioned before is not resolving and I have fresh worries with my job. All of this, plus general busyness and stress at work, has caused my depression and anxiety to come roaring back.

No problem, it took me a while to learn it, particularly two sets of quotes in one post! The practice thread in The Styx can be useful.

I've mentioned before the problems in the team in which I work, three very different people with very different ideas. Things have gone so badly between the other two members that they have been hauled off for a meeting this morning to try and sort it out. Prayers that it's all resolved and we can work together better.

Prayers all everyone else who has asked for them, and prayers for all who feel they cannot ask.

Praying for all the needs expressed above.
For those ill or in pain, please send healing
For those despairing and anxious please send that peace which surpasses all else
For those who are lonely, please give comfort
For each of us, what we need this day.

And, [Votive] for the repose of the soul of the late Fred Phelps. May grace and forgiveness truly be boundless
And for those grieving, hurt or angry at his passing and his works. For healing, forgiveness, grace.

I'm a bit shattered here, and wondering if there's something wrong with me mentally. "Incompetent" is after all what my old boss said when he fired me.

I would like your prayers for my friend Ginny, who is in her mid-nineties. This morning she fell and broke her femur, as well as suffering a cut on her head. Last December she fell and broke her pelvis. She made a good recovery from that, but there is a limit to what her body can take.

Please pray for peace and freedom from pain. Also, if she recovers from this, let her recovery be complete.

I could use prayer right now. I'm trying to arrange finishing up my comprehensive exams by early-to-mid May. My job ends at the end of April, so to avoid paying May rent, I'm going to have to couch-surf as long as I have to still be around (before moving back to Detroit). My three committee members (one of whom doesn't use computers) seem to have conflicting schedules. I kinda feel like maybe I'm supposed to give up, but I don't want to.

And I think the hypomanic phase I've been in a few weeks now is coming to an end. Please pray that I don't sink too deeply into depression. I have too much I have to get done!

I have to dispense with most of my belongings, purchase a car (I can only keep what I can fit in it), finish mailing all my books home, finish one more paper, sit for a closed-book exam, schedule and do my oral defense, and now I don't even know what my time frame is. The longer I stay, the more it eats into the little bit of cash I have to use to buy the car and move (gas, food, hopefully I can find friends to stay with across the country and not pay for hotels).

And I really have no help with any of it.

Update: It looks like I might have a date for my defense. I haven't scheduled it yet, but a date's been approved by 2 out of my 3 committee members, and the third, my advisor, I know will be fine with it. WHEW! Thank God for that bit of encouragement.

Okay, I'm not going insane. The interviewer said he wanted copyediting but he didn't--he wanted strict, minimal proofreading, and apparently doesn't know the difference. [Ultra confused] Which means I can stop worrying about the Alzheimer's, but is also a warning that the job (even if I had been offered it) would have likely been under less than ideal circumstances. Thanks for praying, folks, I'm less freaked out now.
