Prayers for all that need it - hope the job situation gets sorted JoannaP. I ht a manger work-reated problem today. At first I was convinced it was something I'd done, but now I'm not so sure. Whatever it was I'd like to get it sorted tomorrow, please!

Gussie, JoannaP, Smudgie.
For success of my project at work and, most immediately, of a meeting tomorrow morning. Plus two other things.
There is a weird and sinister smell in the house. Started out like dead fish under the stairs, morphed into rotting flowers and moved more towards the front of the house. just go away, smell.

Beware - dead fish under the stairs can be symptomatic of dangerous electrical overheating. Seek advice!! ![[Eek!]](eek.gif)

I agree that dead fish smell definitely NOT a good thing, I hope you can get it sorted quickly.

I should like to give thanks for friends who have volunteered to fund an assistance dog for my disabled daughter - a free gift out of all expectations.
And I should be grateful if you would pray for me tomorrow (thursday10th) when I go into hospital to have my diaphragmatic hernia repaired. It is risky - the surgeons opening words were, "of course, you may die." Very comforting!

I really need prayer. Or something. Coming up to my 60th birthday and very depressed about it. 60 years of failure Minor health issues. Panicking about things I'm being asked to do at church. I don’t seem able to explain that I want to go on helping but just don’t feel I can cope with the way I'm being asked to do it. Not sure what church is for anymore anyway. Not comfortable with the way they do things, and most of the people I knew have gone. I think God has too. But I need it. It's all I've got (other than work - which isn't all that great either.) Have never had any friends – can’t talk to people. And now I'm starting to feel increasingly isolated from the rest of the world. Loneliness isn't just about being alone, sometimes being in a group of people but not part of it is even more lonely. Most of my life has been like that and I'm used to it but it’s getting harder and harder to bear.

I currently have a flare up of my immune system (I say currently but I seem to have had various rolling problems for a month now) and would like to request prayers for managing that. I'm also evaluating my lifestyle at the moment, part of my managing my bipolar disorder is by controlling my social interactions but I seem to have drifted too far the other way now and become more reclusive. I need to get out more and build friendships and would like prayers to move forward with that. I might join a sewing group in the village on Monday, please pray that I can settle in there. Many thanks to you all. Annie

Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayers.
We didn't appoint anyone to my vacancy yesterday due to the strike action. We've shortlisted to two candidates - one of whom scored highly, but doesn't appear to want this job - just a job. The other candidate would need more of their skills updating, but would be a better psychological fit for the team, who really don't need any more upheaval. After sleeping on it, I want to appoint the second candidate but may need to convince my colleague. (Whose team is it, anyway...)

For the five year old boy swept into sea yesterday by a wave at Central Coast beach down here. Now more than 24 hours since this happened and there is no sign of him.
I know this beach well, very deep and rough where he was playing and the beach changes rapidly with rough weather.

For V and H, that the destruction they are facing leads to new openings and success in what they are clearly cut out to do, and that this happens without triggering a recurrence of V's stroke, or worsening of his eye problem.
And for B and A, who are responsible, that they may come to realise that there are better ways of doing things than stealing other people's work, and leaving them without financial support.
