My 10 year old niece has discovered yet another foodstuff she is allergic to. This is getting ridiculous. Please pray that this stops before there is nothing left that she can eat. And pray too that she recovers quickly from this reaction and the family can enjoy the last days of their holiday.

Praying for all.
For my best friend, whose difficult relative has become utterly intolerable to him. He wants to talk seriously to me about this, and I have a feeling that he wants to move in with me.
I did prepare a room for that possibility, it was one of the things I had in mind when moving to somewhere which is really too big for one, but it is also working as a laundry room, and various other things, and having someone around is going to be very difficult. I have had him here before when he has been unwell, and it isn't easy to abandon the living habits of a lifetime for very little in return but an impersonal appreciation.
So I think prayers for me as well.
I had a brief comment from the warped part of my brain that maybe Jesus has that sort of reaction to some of us with regard to the room preparation process, and how well we are fitted to fit in there. [ 24. July 2014, 13:23: Message edited by: Penny S ]

I've been away from this thread for too long. Reading the last couple of pages and praying for all in need.
I've been feeling very wobbly this week and have said things I shouldn't have said. Again. Praying that the person concerned understands.

Thank you in advance for your prayers: please pray that I am successful in getting medical expenses paid for an on the job injury paid due to an injury back in February and that there are no out of pocket expenses due to the greediness of the insurer and the incompetence of the medical staff. I shall see my cardiologist in a few days for a directed verdict that I am free of heart disease and that the injury was only temporarily elevated blood pressure, i.e. tachycardia. The attending doctor was surly and did not think it would be covered. He does not deserve his fee if he does not change his diagnosis!

Have been away for a long time. for all here.
I have been extremely overworked for a number of months and maybe as a consequence made a mistake that might cost a friend a lot of money.
I can't convince a government agency that I don't owe them any money. I need to find the letter they sent me the last time.
My mother is getting more and more distant from reality as her dementia progresses.
Just been informed that I have to develop a new class and I'm feeling quite burnt out and wondering if I really want to teach any more.
Stuff like that.

Things are starting to shape up OK for the big move to Japan. Only a month to go, which isn't that long with a visa to sort out and little contractual niggles. Plus trying to squeeze in learning a bit of Japanese! Mostly I need to concentrate on getting the necessary tasks done without too many distractions!

Things happened today rather more quickly than I expected them to. I think it is for the best but I am feeling rather shell-shocked. Please pray that I use the time I have been given wisely and that we get our accommodation situation sorted out soon.

A friend of mine, in her 40s, has had fertility issues for years. She has one son, via IVF. She was just about to embark on a round of something expensively high-tech (donor embryo something), but the reproductive endocrinologist suddenly announced that the train had already left the station: she is pregnant. Totally au naturel, without science at all. So the prayer is that this is a blessing: a normal pregnancy, and a healthy baby. As an older mom, this will be risky for both her and the one to come.
