An attempt to resolve our neighbour situation calmly and politely on Friday evening resulted in having abuse screamed at us, along with the grossest misrepresentation of my Father's character I have ever heard, in response to his pleas for how seriously ill my mother felt when prevented from sleeping at night. Once we returned home we decided to make a phone call to a relative of the neighbour which, DG, was answered and heard in the spirit of deep kindness and understanding, with many apologies and a promise to sort things out. Friday night made us all feel very shaky but we feel there is now hope. Thanks to all for prayers.

Please pray for the repose of the soul of my cousin, Margaret, who died quite suddenly in her 82nd year. Please pray for her younger brother, John, who has been having post surgical difficulties and for her younger sister. This was a very close-knit family, and her children and grandchildren are devastated. As we all are.

I’m feeling incredibly stressed at the moment. Since November 2012 I’ve had five completely unrelated medical/health problems which have necessitated visits to the GP and hospital tests. Three are completely resolved (I was almost certainly worrying about nothing). One is ongoing but manageable and the latest is an eye problem which is really frightening me.
I’m also feeling very depressed/tearful/anxious. About work/church/life in general. I’ve ben told that the eye problem is nothing to worry about but it seems to be getting worse. I’ve been to my GP who is referring me back to the eye hospital – but they’ve already told me there’s nothing seriously wrong.
I’m wondering if all the symptoms are caused by anxiety. I’ve tried to talk to the GP about this. She wasn’t very sympathetic but said she’ll refer me to a psychologist (??) I’m not sure what that means or if it’s appropriate.
I was 60 last month and I really wanted to make a new start and try and do something with the rest of my life. After a very brief good start it all seems to have fallen apart.
I’m not sure I believe in prayer any more, but if you do please pray for me.
