Tried to get together with old friends last night. Ran into someone I wasn't expecting to see.

Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayers.
I am going back to work after a two-week break, which was much needed. When I left, my manager and I had had words because he treated me badly. He refused to apologise and blamed it n my 'perception'. Let's just say I'm not looking forward to going back! Your prayers would be appreciated, please.

If anyone has a prayer to spare for The Intrepid Former Miss S, my daughter, that would be good. She is going back into education after ten years, and on to what will be quite a high-powered Master's programme. Please pray that she will quickly find her feet and not be overwhelmed. Thank you.

A fortnight ago it looked as though I had two part time jobs lined up. Either one would have been a great help; together they would have been perfect. Both have fallen through and I'm back at rock bottom.

Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayers.
Thank you for praying about my return to work. I'm going to talk to the manager of the big project I'm working on, because my line manager seems to have certain expectations of my role on the project that haven't been shared with the rest of the project team. I can't 'take control' and 'drive the project forward" if everyone else on the team thinks I'm just another team member and expects to work collaboratively as a group!

I'm currently signed off work (GP put depression on the sick note - I'd say it's more like stress and anxiety, but then they all meld together somewhat). Got a meeting with my manager tomorrow I'm not looking forward to. Am not sure I can go back to my current role and am applying for jobs, but am generally feeling a bit lost with it.

I've just heard that my brother's father in law has died at the age of 97. He had been fit but frail for a few years, then a couple of weeks ago broke a hip, was successfully operated on, but weakened and died. He was a lovely man and my kids thought the world of him.
Can you pray for his daughter R, my brother K, their children M & H and his grandson R. He lived with them for the last twenty years and they are missing him terribly.

Prayers needed here please! Having been depressed, I have rather neglected myself and missed a couple of routine dental appointments. Now I have a bad toothache and it is getting to the point where the OTC painkillers are not as effective as they were. Prayers please for the courage to contact the dentist and that they will be sympathetic and not just lecture me.
