Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayers.
Than you for your prayers. I've been signed off for another week, with the recommendation of a phased return after that.

For travelling mercies and peace of mind for Abigail.
For Hong Kong.
For Golden Key, for health, upholding, and abolition of gremlins.
For Heavenly Anarchist, for healing.
For apostate630, for healing.
For Qoheleth's Laurie, may he rest in peace and rise in glory, and may justice be done.
For Robert Armin, for success and upholding.
For Starbug.
For new baby EL.
For success of my proposal and publication of my paper.
For the Telemum (who has a casting tomorrow).
For the strength to pull off certain feats this month, and banishment of the Finance Monster. [ 01. October 2014, 21:46: Message edited by: Telepath ]

My friend J has just come through some pretty major surgery (so far, so good), but any prayers you can spare for her continued recovery would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Please pray for Zeke, my wife. She started teaching full-time again and she has some really rotten kids in the afternoon. This is junior high school English Language and Literature. The kids are 13 and 14. She needs prayers for better classroom management starting today and for the kids to follow directions and work harder!

I have copied this request for urgent prayer over from a separate thread:
quote: Originally posted by Peppone: Anyone who has a moment right now - please pray for the situation in Hong Kong right now. It's approaching midnight - students and citizens are massing at government house - the police ostentatiously moved weapons and ammunition and reinforcements into govt. house this afternoon - please pray for calm and that the young people will remain rational, nonviolent, non-confrontational and that no-one gets hurt tonight.

I never realised that being Grown Up involved sitting around the kitchen table discussing (more or less objectively) whether a woven willow casket would be too 'feminine' for my father. And yet, here I am, having that exact conversation.
Being Grown Up also seems to include working out where to register his death (in advance of his actual death). Tomorrow will be taken up with sorting out paperwork and seeing if my mum has enough to live on, in between checking on my dad and deflecting the constant stream of visitors.
Funny old world, isn't it?
