Please pray for the repose of Grandpa Shrew's soul.
He was the most loving husband, father and grandfather. He had lost his father at a young age and never forgave him for "leaving him". I pray they are together now and the hurt mended. ![[Votive]](graemlins/votive.gif)

Got a meeting with a Union rep tomorrow to discuss my return to work after being off with work-related mental-health problems. Bit worried about the whole return-to-work thing. I am doing better health-wise, but my current job's not the right fit for my character and trying to get my employer to do anything which would be helpful is just banging my head against a brick wall. I'm currently applying for other jobs as I think that's the best plan long-term, but in the short-term I need to survive returning to non-ideal role with not-massively-helpful employer. Prayers therefore appreciated.

Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayers.
I've been signed off again until the end of November and my medication has been increased. Plus, the GP has put 'work-related' stress on my fit note, which is good news as it leaves no room for argument. Hugely relieved but very tired, as I haven't slept properly for a few nights in anticipation of the OH referral. Once again, your prayers are all greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Please of your kindness could you pray for my friend B, and her husband J, as he seems to be nearing the end of his life. Pray for strength and fortitude for both of them
Would you also pray for Master S as he aspires to a temporary promotion - this could be a real turning point in his life

 Saint Anger round my neck

For me. Two years ago I was diagnosed with tinnitus. I don't have it too bad and largely have forgotten about it, but it's on the list of things to sort out (tablets, the tension in my jaw or whatever). My high cholesterol of last year is being combatted with tablets and diet changes (the latter massively helped my acid reflux).
This year I've started having knee problems, largely in my left knee. I've got an appointment at the orthopedist in a few weeks. I suspect rheumatism, as it seems to be weather related.
Yesterday I discovered that I have discopathy of the neck, i.e. some discs have moved and won't come back to their place. I noticed problems because I started getting problems with my fingers and legs. Since I discovered this I've gone into some bizarre psychosomatic thing, whereby suddenly I've got a headache, a pain in the neck and just now my leg went dead from the knee down.
Regardless of all these issues, I lack strength to deal with them all. Looking after myself feels like a burden. Add that I have a 10 month old boy, me being father for the first time, I have a lot on my plate and I feel overwhelmed, especially as I feel pretty lonely.
I know others have it harder, like, but still. I ask for prayers for strength.

For me: rapid banishing of trouble gremlins. (I think someone fed them after midnight, per the film.) They're involved with a time-sensitive situation that needs to be resolved by early next week.
Plus the usual request for health, general upholding, and private intentions.
Thanks.

Just a few items for prayer.
I am being baptised at my local church on Sunday 2nd November - full immersion. The time feels right and will mark the changes God has been making in my life, especially this past year. Please pray for protection against anything that might seek to prevent this and against and spiritual attack afterwards.
Speaking of which I need prayer for plantar fasciitis in my left foot which means I can hardly walk.
Thirdly, when a friend visited me from church at lunchtime things got "nasty" with a neighbour over parking. I don't want to have my friends scared to come and visit me because of one person's attitude, which is also worsened because he wants his wife out of hospital and is waiting for the sort of care I'm recieving so he may think I've jumped a queue whereas it's different departments (long term vs short term care). Please pray for that family as the wife has MS and her health is deteriorating very quickly.
