In this time of angry sometimes horrifically deadly confrontations that when eyes are blind and minds are closed may be open -- including mine
that my radiation therapy have the desired results and thanksgiving for the way my medical situation has left me unscathed so far. And thanksgiving for the people and other sentient fellow creatures in my life

The Elf Lass finally seems to be recovering from the viral thing she so kindly brought home from nursery the other week. However both TME and I have been knocked sideways with it and have both had to take days off work. Added to the general lurgy I am now in my 2nd day of a migraine which meds just aren't touching - it's a long time since I've felt this rough, and I'd really appreciate prayer for a break for our little family.
When she goes back to nursery I'm going to dress her in a hazmat suit, I honestly can't handle her bringing anything else home like this!
In more thankful news, she was 1 yesterday and we are so thankful every day for her. She is such a joy (in spite of her generous sharing of germs).

Please pray for my dear friend B, whose elderly husband J died on Thursday after years of emphysema and accelerating illness. They'd been married a long time and she had nursed him devotedly - I think she'll miss being so much needed, as well as missing J.

Scrapped the PhD proposal I was writing and started again from scratch.
Was going to do it throughout this week, but I got the Ultimate Paper from Hell back on Tuesday with demands for revisions. So today was my first chance.
If I could suddenly become bionic enough to finish the remaining 2500 words by midnight, that would be great.

My sister-in-law stopped breathing after a few hours. In a way it was good that she went on for a while, as it didn't seem so much that J had decided she should die; more that it just happened.
Now waiting for post-mortem before funeral can be arranged.
