Please pray for my uncle George who is facing his first Christmas after the death of his wife of sixty years, and whose health is causing concern. All the family are worried about him but he lives a long way geographically from all of us and is too independent to accept help [ 14. December 2014, 08:56: Message edited by: Kitten ]

I just found out that my dear friend C has brain cancer. She is a young, healthy, active woman and this has stunned me. Her doctors were saying nothing could be done, but a specialist said yesterday that chemo may have a chance to help. I say the awesome people on the Ship are a praying force, and C has the chance of a miracle. So, please pray, my Friends.

Daisymay, prayers for your sister and your daughter-in-law, that they may be healed.
Thank you all for your thoughts. I am OK, having been in chambers around 7.15. I don't know what will be happening later on, but imagine we could easily get to Town Hall station via King St if Martin Place is still closed. The clerk's trying to find out. After a lot of talking, the matter I had for hearing today has settled, so although my solicitor and our client are unable to leave yet, the lock down in the court is not affecting me directly.

my daughter has decided to ask her husband to leave. frankly, I'm grateful. I've been holding my breath for 2 years. He's a good kid, but he's a kid, mentally speaking. and he's got just enough dysfunction that I can easily see him becoming a future abuser. the boy needs a lot of therapy, but is not willing to make it happen despite lots of urging and opportunity. So I'm relieved.
but this will not be easy on any of the three of them (4, counting the dog) or any of us who love them, so prayers for the whole family would be great.

for all. And for Tori Johnson and Katrina Dawson who were killed in the Sydney siege.
Can you please pray for the family of my childhood friend Tien? She was killed by a drug affected driver in February and the driver has just been sentenced. They are feeling like justice has not been done because a legal loophole meant the driver was able to refuse a blood test to test the amount of drugs in his system because he was not injured. This despite killing my childhood friend and seriously injuring her partner. Because of this he may only serve 20 months in jail. Please pray this law is changed so that drug levels can be tested in the same way alcohol levels are.
Please also pray that the driver takes the most of this opportunity to reform and break his drug habit so more lives are not damaged.

Praying through, for all, by name.
for C
for Telepath and the Telemum
for Lamb Chopped
I started the clinical trial today. I think I might have the real pill (as opposed to the placebo), since I was unbearably sleepy 30 minutes after taking it. (Note to self: Check list of possible side effects.) I'll take it at 6 AM from now on, when I have an excuse to crawl back under the covers.

Praying.
(((((EM)))))
Some financial help has come in but we're only about 1/3 of the way to the "golden survival number," as it were. Please keep praying. And for me to find some sort of online class or two to teach to top up our general income, since I can't teach any additional classes where I teach now (they have a limit for adjuncts of how many).
I have a doctor appointment tomorrow, my first in ages, for a general checkup and to be able to keep getting my meds.

My dad is really struggling with the vicious triangle of three medical conditions, all of which are routine and surmountable, but none of which can be treated effectively without negative impact on the other two.
Please pray that the cancer goes into remission ASAP, or even quicker, so that he can be treated for the other issues.

They are killing their own future.
I pray for all of God's children caught in the whirlwind of religious fanaticism.
I pray also for all political and religious refugees caught between a rock and the hard place of reactionary governments abd general xenophobia.
