For things to go at least a bit better for everyone and everything, all over.

For me: early next week, I'm seeing someone for help regarding the difficult bureaucratic matter I've mentioned. I need for them to really understand the situation, and to help me in the best possible way.

Thanks.

Recently I asked for prayer for a retired minister, J. I heard last night that it is cancer but he won't be having any more chemo and, in the words of the friend who told me, 'he isn't long for this world'. Please pray for J and his wife, P. They have been faithful servants for so many years, working together as a team.

I seek your prayers please for J, a student in my department at work, and possibly the kindest, gentlest and most generous person I have ever met. She is soon to submit her PhD, but is finishing writing up whilst looking after 3 young children, nursing her sick (and possibly dying) sister-in-law, preparing the whole family for their move back to their country early next year - all the children were born there, but the youngest will have no memories of it having come over here as a baby, and the older kids only have selective memories. The country in question is not a happy place currently, and she will need to be very present for her kids as they return and change schooling systems, leave friends behind and re-enter a totally different culture. I did a bit of proof-reading for J recently, and when I saw her yesterday I asked if there was anything else I could do to help. She is a very devout Muslim, and simply said "if you are a praying person, please pray for me, that's what I need".

For fullgospel’s Brian and John, for healing and home.

For Jack the Lass’s student, for safety, for healing for her sister-in-law, for upholding for her and her children.

Nightmare Paper from Hell has been accepted!!!

To make up for it, I found a bedbug this morning. Now I know what has been biting me. Exterminator coming tomorrow. Please don’t let this be too laborious or expensive to deal with, Lord, kthx.

I also could do with a lot of guidance on how to sort out my funding, and quickly.

Well done with the paper Telepath.

A small thing for me: Please pray as I pack to go away in the country for Christmas. I think I will have more luggage than my annual trip to India! Not so much in the amount of clothes, but the sheer bulkiness.

These are dear friends, and I am pleased to be with them. But I think that, if I am ever in Canada again for Christmas, I will stay home.

I pray, nevertheless, for all who are alone at Christmas, and do not want to be. I pray for my niece who spent last Christmas sitting by the bedside of her eldest daughter, making a decision to pull the plugs. I pray for my eldest nephew, whom I love beyond belief, but whom I don't particularly like at this moment.

Prayers for Ross with the new symptoms; I hope the radiation oncologist can provide some helpful suggestions [Votive]

Congratulations, Telepath, that your paper was accepted! [Yipee]

Thanks to everyone for your prayers about my appointment. The specialist was extremely kind, as he had been previously. The hard thing is that he realizes I am having some sort of significant difficulty, but they can't find a diagnosis and thus there is no treatment. They thought I might have myasthenia gravis, but I do not. It's a blessing not to have myasthenia gravis in one way, but as the doctor said, it's also a hard thing, because at least that could be treated.

Reading through the list, and remembering you all in prayer. [Votive]

I hold her in my prayers. Christmas in the hospital is the grimmest of all separations, especially for children. I've been there too... and I still remember those times, even if my childhood is lost in the mists of my memories.
