100 people are to go on a ane-way trip to Mars in 2024.

In Purgatory Karl: Liberal Backslider said

Personally I think they should have invited nominations rather than applications.
Nominations please. [Two face]

No not for those you would like to send to Mars, but if you were on the one way trip to Mars who would you like to have as fellow travellers, and why.

The mission has its origins in the Netherlands and is backed by Endemol (a television company, not an analgesic). They produce Big Brother and Deal or No Deal so I nominate Davina McCall and Noel Edmonds.

They would be the supernumary crew, to be discarded if resources run low. Pretty much like Big Brother.

You'd like to be on a trip with Osbourne? Sorry but I don't know why.

I don't even know who he is, let alone why he'd be nominated.

Jon Stewart. Definitely!
He could make reports on the days' activities, and find all the entertainment we missed just living through those days!

Maybe that's why Stewart's quitting his show? [Biased]

I would gladly chip in to buy them one-way tickets, but I certainly wouldn't want them as fellow travelers.

I'd take some kind of rocket geek with me. Maybe (s)he'll be able to turn the ship around!

To be certain. I'd rather send, or indeed take, Michael Gove as a service to mankind.

When we get there we'll need to survive. So there's a special reserved seat for Bear Grylls on my flight.
