Please pray for my cousin N who was diagnosed with breast cancer last week and has now discovered its metastasised to her lymph glands and to her bones in her spine and thigh.

Today is ANZAC Day in Australia and New Zealand. It's 100 years since the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps fought at Gallipoli. While I feel ambivalent about some of the ways this is comemmerated I think of the young of both countries marching off on a great adventure, many thinking they would be home for Christmas, and some never coming home.
So my prayer is for all those affected by war, then and now.

Thank You, God, for sustaining us in our search for low-income housing in Washington state. We have been offered an apartment in Tacoma, WA and we're moving out of Georgia on May 16th! I feel kind of guilty, being so happy when others on here are dealing with health (mental and physical) issues but I can't help it! My depression is almost non-existent now that I have new medication and I've wanted to move back to the Pacific Northwest for at least two years...now that's becoming a reality!
So, prayers offered up for everyone who is in anguish, anywhere on the planet. Prayers also offered up for anyone who has experienced healing or help when they needed it. Thanks, God.

All contact is cut off from my mother's village in Nepal, so we have no idea how they fare. We're hoping no news is good news. Please pray for Syang and all the villages on the Anapurna circuit.
Also for an important possible dream-becoming-reality for me. The odds are against us, but it's never stopped me before.

The Dowager got a nasty chest infection (bad) but Mr S and I turned up to visit her in time to force her to go to A&E (good) whereupon she was admitted (probably good) and has a new diagnosis plus loads of medicines (definitely good).
Downside is that she can't now go on her holiday (bad) but if she responds to this latest treatment it may bring an end to this difficult time (def. good)
Thank you all for your prayers, thank you God for all those who pray for others!

I have a busy few weeks ahead as my students final assignments are expected later this week and will need marking quickly and I have lots of revision teaching to do, as well as writing my own assignment for my Masters. Please pray that I keep on top of this and don't let it stress me, there's no reason why I should get anxious but I inevitably do. Particular pray that I make good way with my studies this week.

My cousin N had a severe stroke last night. It appears that it is just a case of waiting for her to go. Please pray that she has as easy and painless a death as possible. Please also pray for her husband J who has severe dementia. N was caring for him and he had to be found an emergency place in a care home last night. Please also pray for their children and grandchildren and for all of us who love her dearly.
