The knowledge that R and I have had people praying for us over the last 8 weeks since that traumatic eye operation has been a real comfort - can I ask for more prayer please? On Friday I fell up our garden steps and have broken my wrist so badly it needs metal plates fitted to stabilise it. That will be done (hopefully) in the next couple of days. I'm anxious for myself but mostly for R who will have to do much more than he's managed recently. He really wants to show he can cope and care for me where necessary

For the man who tried to assault me yesterday, and more particularly, his partner. It was a random act of viciousness brought on by nothing I could determine. I was trying to park in the space next to his at the supermarket.

I was just lucky I was in the car and was able to lock the doors and drive away (he was threatening to kick my head in and punching my car) but his partner, who went on loading groceries into their car, presumably knows a great deal more about his violence.

And thanks be that I have a lovely boss who let me cry my eyes out, got me a cuppa, and sent me home to bed.

Prayers are always available here for broken wrists.

I did both of mine at the same time in a gym accident when I was 14. The orthopod took pity on me and let me off with a wrist cast on my left arm, or I'd have needed my mom's help with everything. Can't imagine much greater humiliation at that age.

...and continuing prayers for broken wrists are much appreciated. Mine now has metal plates holding it in position but the swelling is dramatic, especially in my fingers which I am supposed to be moving, and the pain is fierce! I don't want to be a wimp but some relief from the pain would be good - especially at night.

Prayers for all, especially those with broken bones.

My twelve year old granddaughter broke one wrist at school last year. Plaster cast to elbow to deal with that. She broke other arm a week later near the elbow and cast went up to her shoulder. I asked her how she managed and did she need help. She assured me she could cope.

I know it is trivial compared to the above but I have an assessment centre day / interview in central London tomorrow for a job which I am unlikely to get but which would change my life if I did.

Because of the tube strike, I will have to get up at 5 for an 8am start (it goes on until 6pm and they advise you to "get a good night's sleep beforehand, as it will be challenging"...).

I am really worried I won't get there on time (have to take bus) and so nervous I probably won't sleep at all...

Sorry for venting but prayers for peace of mind and that I can focus on doing my best would be much appreciated.

Thank you!

Just heard that my cousin's husband has had a massive stroke and has had to go into a care home, with the house having to be sold to pay for his care. Which leaves my cousin looking for somewhere to live and trying to cope and carry on.

She lost her parents last year and although she is a strong person, it does rather feel as if life is dumping on her right now. Please pray that she will be able to find somewhere decent to live and that things will work out for her. Thank you.

[Votive] For all on here (and those of you who read and think about posting and then don't).
