This was my news on this thread on 14 June. My brother died of a sudden heart attack, so mercifully quick and as illness- and pain-free for him as possible, which I'm thankful for.
I was his next of kin and in addition to the funeral to arrange and the paperwork (Mr Nen's department) there has been sorting out to do. He left a lot of mess behind. It has been hard distressing work.
Mr Nen and I are going away for a few days next week for some time out, so I won't be around for a bit again, but I will be back and your continued prayers for me and my family are very welcome.

And the reason I wandered onto this thread... one of my aunts died last night/early this morning. Prayers welcomed for my uncle, who is having to cope with the death of his wife and friend of at least 50 years, and my cousins and their children in that branch of the clan. We won't find out till Monday if there's a post mortem required, but it was sudden death, so seems likely.

Please pray for my family. My stepfather has now been diagnosed with esophageal cancer, even as my sister is doing badly with chemo for ovarian. Brother just had melanoma removed, mother is in kidney failure--this has not been a lovely year. I don't know how we're going to handle the sudden disasters pouring down all at the same time.

In comparison, my problems are like a hornet trapped in my car-- only dangerous because of placement and timing.
On one of my jobs, I managed to wrack my back up. Since it is not the current job I am in, I cannot file for worker's comp. I have been trying to self treat (ice, heat, OTC meds) , but it keeps getting worse.
I am getting a chiropractor's appointment next week-- out of pocket-- and will be sucking up whatever time I take off, as I do not get paid time off in my current job.
Add to that-- I filed for income based repayment of my student loan about two months ago, using an on line tax info recovery system. Somehow the info I submitted has not landed yet. As a result, they have changed me form an income based plan to a ten year plan-- pretty much the plan that figures the highest amount per month. It will be only slightly less than a low end apartment rental rate. I can't afford it. I have to call tomorrow-- in the middle of the work day--to sort it out.
So, first of all , prayers that I can sort out the FSA mess without losing my shit at work. Seriously, pray on that. Second, please pray that some sort of light at the end of my very dark financial tunnel will manifest itself.
And my apologies to everyone suffering much, much worse problems-- prayers to you all, and forgive my panic about money matters.
