Prayers for all.

My sister still has pneumonia in one lung, the other has cleared. We believe she had the infection for around a month before it overwhelmed her completely. Tests have shown it comes from a strain of chlamydia, not the STD strain, but one which causes bronchitis in younger people and can cause severe pneumonia in those older. Hopefully medication specifically targeting this will act quickly. Another chest x-ray today to compare with last week's.

Her immune system is poor. She will take tamoxifen every day of her life to keep the specific breast cancer at bay. This is eighteenth year since the diagnosis of that.

Thank you for prayers for my sister. Medical opinion this morning is that what can still be heard in the lung is scar tissue from this bout of pneumonia. No more medication prescribed and she feels much better.

There is a minor bowl game on my birthday next year, but in a few years it will be the Rose Parade followed by the Rose Bowl! I feel so honoured then. The Tournament of Roses decided back in the 1890s that Sunday is for church, not parades because there are so many churches on the parade route that parishioners would not be able to get in the driveways. I miss Pasadena!

I have just hear that my friend;s son (for whom I asked for prayer a few days ago) has been released from hospital earlier than expected and is now at home. TBTG.

Just to say, he was diagnosed with acute necrotising pancreatitis and one in 5 people with this don't make it. SO it truly is prayer answered. Please continue to hold him and his family in your prayers for his recovery [Smile] [Smile]
