So I just entertained myself by posting my support for Donald Trump on Facebook as my prank this year. My usual one of 'I give up, I'm coming back to the UK' needs a rest this year.

Share any April Fools pranks you've seen [Smile] (or taken part in).

Of course, everyone looks at the front page of the Ship of Fools every day, so there's no point in directing anyone in that direction.

The Today programme had a piece about Walkers crisps turning Red Leicester blue in support of the local football team. Not one of their more inspired efforts, I thought.

I have my doubts about
ubuntu-on-windows-the-ubuntu-userspace-for-windows-developers/

It's either april-fools or a renewed effort from Microsoft to encourage Linux-users to sell their souls to the devil.

Yep. It ends "Another insider said early proposals to do a live broadcast have been rejected in favour of a pre-recorded session because of Philip’s propensity for swearing. “The words have to be perfect,” she said, “but we’ve got time to iron things out between today – 1 April – and June.”

My division director has announced that today is his last day. The mass celebrations that such an announcement would normally trigger have been somewhat muted for fear that it might by an April Fools prank. Stay tuned!

Meanwhile, Lambeth Council (South London, UK) is closing its libraries today and converting them into private gyms with lounges with a few books into which under 18s will not be allowed.

This News Report might cause some concern for others. It seems to have originated from King Cambridge.

Actually given that the person on Facebook who published that one also published this sad news about the Queen Vic and another take over this time by the Physicists. You get the picture.

By the time I spotted he was claiming Pope Francis was coming to URC General Assembly I was well warned.

I quite liked the one about Donald Trump deciding to suspend the presidential campaign and go on a Buddhist retreat for three years. With photo of him seated crosslegged in Buddhist monk robes saying, "I'm going to give this compassion thing a try."
