Mine has arrived, but I couldn't resist the temptation to open it... besides, the customs sticker on the outside gave the game away.
Thank you, American Santa, for the beautiful calendar of Lakota art and the bookmark. The calendar is going up in my office next year so I can draw inspiration from it when indexing books on anthropology!
Merry Christmas*, everyone.

Hmm my cockiness about having bought my SS present so early has been terribly undermined by the fact I've now lost it.
It must be in the house *somewhere*....

Package received, yes!
Package sent a week or two ago but the post office man was doubtful it would show up before Christmas. Apparently Canadian PO likes to think about it a while when handling something from USA. He said might be a day or 2 late.

Strangely enough, that is what the Canadian post office tells us about any out-of country post... that it is the receiving post office's slowness.

Hugal's parcel has arrived.
Now that we are of an age where all our presents from family are 'money to buy things we want', and since we don't have children, we know what most of our presents are (although I will still pack them!). So it's really lovely to have a surprise waiting for Christmas Day.

A parcel from Santa has arrived from the North. (At least, my interpretation of the card, sold on behalf of a Scottish Charity, is that it has come from north of me.)

Secret Santa, I loved my card My little penguin is hanging merrily from our alternative Christmas tree (colour theme of tree is black, white and red, so he matches just perfectly). And as for the chocolate lolly and very tempting looking bar of chocolate... well, the Smudgelet is eyeing them up already so I will be gobbling them down with delight before he gets to them. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Dear Secret Santa,
I am sure that your package arrived before Christmas but I have pneumonia and have been bedded down for the last week. Today on trip to doctor I picked up a week's worth of mail.
There was my package from across the pond. Oh so worth waiting for. The sweet tree and star garland now hangs on the head of my bed. I just might leave it there all year. The candy is tucked away for special treats from time to time. The spice packet sits on my kitchen cookbook case along with the most wonderful gift of all the fun cookbook that I have already started reading.
Thank you for your thoughtful package. It made my day.

We're doing well! Hopefully everyone should get their gifts before 12th Night at this rate! There's still 6people waiting, and one or two Santas who either haven't let me know that they have posted, or have let me know that their present will be late for various unavoidable reasons.
