I would love to create the great doubt in GIa, but experience says HAH!

Thank you Brother Barnabas, and Lyda Rose and Golden Key for the kind greetings. Hugs.

Maybe we can get establish some comprehension of GIa's gnosis - from there maybe we have a discussion.

On a personal note, I had an intimate, live and immediate revelation of the Christ in my living room (twice, 6 days apart) when I was 24. The message I got was different. Nothing about the experience told me to become a warrior or soldier for Christ.

In fact He told me that if He wanted the world to know what He was revealing to me, He would have appeared already at a NASCAR race, or the Superbowl, or the UN.

What was between us remains between us. But I don't think I'm special. In fact I think I'm kind of stubborn, slow and dense because most people understand without having to stick their hands in his wounds (like Thomas).

But that was my experience - everyone's mileage differs.

What debate? So far we've had no debate from you, only pronouncements as if from on high.

OK I was thinking because the community here is different from the other board where I've run into GIa, that maybe the interaction would be different.

But I guess not.

He doesn't want to be drawn into dialogue and is incapable of forming a coherent argument that is not a fallacy.

As for the subtle shade thrown conflating my own "apotheosis" (I think that word does not mean what he thinks it means) with an Electra complex, I'm just going to say I'm done here. I do not answer ad hominems.

I'm just sorry he's representing himself as a big-G Gnostic, but like I said, gnosis is highly individual, so he gets to claim whatever label he fancies.

Peace out, friends.

AFF--

I hope that just means that you're done with GIA and/or related threads, and not that you're leaving the Ship?

Nah. Just leaving the thread and GIa to his own devices.

He's crusading for something, I don't know what, under the banner of Gnosticism, but I'll be dipped in butter if I can figure out what that something is.

This is a prime example of why gnosticism as a movement failed completely.

If we're all talking about our individual gnosis, and not trying to relate to anybody else's, then eventually we end up in a room talking to ourselves.

Which is what GIa appears to be doing right now.

A Feminine Force, please confine your own ad hominem accusations to Hell - and don't invite disputes on other boards to be pursued here.

But I do like "I'll be dipped in butter if I can figure out X." I shall have to find occasion to use that. [Smile]
