That's great news Huia and well done you for complaining!
I eventually got my apology from my bank the other day - but I may still change.

My brother-in-law Peter, who came off his bike a month ago, was moved into rehab yesterday. Initially we thought he would not survive, and he's still very fragile, but he's done amazingly. It will be one hell of a long process, as the doctors still haven't done anything about his smashed up shoulder and spine (because of the likelihood of a stroke under anaesthetic), but he is smiling at his wife, trying to crack jokes in German, able to respond to the medical staff in English.
Well done, Huia. Chutzpah is your middle name, and I wish it was mine too!

I'm thanking the Lord this week for helping me to fight back against despair, pride and impatience.
The beginning of the week was very wobbly, but hope returned. The dementors were seen off after another skirmish.

Lost my keys today. That's my apartment keys and the little electronic fob thing that lets me into my building. Was certain I had lost them shopping, when I did something rather stupid with the coat that I had them in. Called the store to ask if they'd been found, they hadn't.
They turned up in my brother's car (he was driving me shopping today.)
Wheeeeeeew.

A year ago my husband had an eye operation that went wrong and left him with very little sight. Well, time passes and miracles happen! The improvement was slow but steady and it became obvious that the retina had not been damaged as badly as his surgeon feared. We have just had his Certificate of Visual Impairment cancelled which was wonderful. He is driving again, using the computer for his research work and enjoying every thankful moment! My daughter was in a traffic accident today. Her vehicle rolled -seven- times. She walked away with some bruises. More importantly, the baby she is carrying seems to be fine. They hospitalized her anyway, just to be sure, but she sounds rather bored by the whole thing. I believe the car is totaled, however.

Today her complaint is that she will have to get a new cell phone (it flew out of the car and was crushed) as well as a new car. She has to quit doing this movie-heroine kind of thing.

When Miss M, my granddaughter was bald from chemo, a couple of her ten year old friends did the same as support for her. She is now in official remission, for which we are most thankful.

Went to the hospital Friday complaining of dizziness, nausea, cold sweats. All tests came back negative for stroke. Was probably an acute case of vertigo. Am home now and very thankful.

I'd appreciate prayers for/on this coming Tuesday afternoon please: I have an appointment at 2.45pm to see a G I specialist to arrange a colonoscopy. This is a routine job, as I have these every five years after bowel cancer.
I have a slight concern that is not routine though: to discuss a discharge that has developed over the last few months. This could be 'anything' or 'nothing' - the dr may well be able to tell on Tuesday if it is 'something', but possibly not until the actual test (date as yet unknown).
I'm not fond of the idea of surgery (!), so please will you join me in praying that it proves to be 'nothing'! Thank you.

So grateful that Mr S was well enough to attend The Former Miss S's graduation ceremony at Shrivenham yesterday. As she never got a first degree, to get a Master's (with merit) from King's College, London, was a moment any parent would be proud of
Also, Baby Grumpkin (she was pregnant for the last three months of the course ) behaved impeccably and especially during the National Anthem *phew*
Mrs S, who can hardly get her head between doorposts these days ![[Hot and Hormonal]](icon_redface.gif)

Yay nicolemr!
Fantastic prayer concert last night in Winchester Cathedral - about 2,000 people inside and another 1,000 outside on the green! Bishop David (Basingstoke), Bishop Tim (Winchester) very briefly, Archbishop Justin (Canterbury) by videolink - as my friend Suzi's aunt would say, I have been Truly Blessed!
Oh, and did I mention Matt Redman and the band?
Mrs. S, still beaming ![[Overused]](graemlins/notworthy.gif)
