Please, prayer sailors, pray that my missing cat returns home safe well and soon. He's been gone since about 7 pm and it's now past midnight.
He's only a cat, but he's mine and ... Oh, you know.

[Votive] Catching up with the thread and praying through.

I ask your prayers for C, a terrific young woman formerly in our church youth group, who has been found dead of a heroin overdose. And for her parents A and C.

Praying [Votive]
Also (again) asking prayers for myself re job situation. I know this is small fry compared to the above but have finally made a decision re my job choices. However, I feel very unsure about it all and worried I might have missed out on a big opportunity...

I have been so stressed over the past 2 months that I have hardly sleep and am shattered, so some rest and peace of mind would be a blessing.

Thank you!

I ask your prayers please for our neighbours, J and I, who are an elderly couple in their 80s. I bumped into I this evening as we arrived home at the same time, having not seen her for a while - she said that J is really ill, very weak; he was diagnosed with cancer in August and is now home and won't be going back to hospital. He had had tests recently to see if they could put a stent in his bile duct, but it sounds like his oesophagus is too swollen for them to get the scope down, and it sounds like it's just a case of keeping him as comfortable as possible. For St. G.

For ArachnidinElmet’s L’s gran, for a safe journey home. For the family and friends of R to be comforted in their loss.

For Ariel and her Mum.

Thanks for the safe return of St Everild’s cat.

For Mamacita’s C, may light perpetual shine upon her. For her parents A and C.

For Lia’s job situation, and for some peace of mind and rest.

For Jack the Lass’s J, for healing, and for upholding for I.

For Lothlorien’s P, for healing.

For saysay to understand.

So, I haven’t been on here for ages as a result of generally not being on top of things. The grant application is ruining my life and killing my motivation. I NEED to get it all done bar the shouting by tomorrow. Hlep.

For P, in a similar situation.

Thanks to all who prayed for the Telemum. She has no symptoms and has been told not to come back until she has some. Her blood pressure is a bit raised, though. But I guess all is fine, which is great.

For Auntie Danger.

For Cousin H, in South America.

Like many others above, I would appreciate prayers for my own job situation.

The bullying problem from some months ago has been solved by and large (many of my colleagues expressing incomprehension and anger at the bully now as well, and it's definitely not just me). It has got better and the boss will keep an eye on it. Thank you for your intercessions there and then, and your kind words. They have greatly helped!

Today, I'd like to ask for prayer regarding the number of hours I can work from summer. We have an annual reassessment, with everything depending on clients' demands. Although a basic time-frame and thus income seems safe, this is not sufficient for me. It would be helpful to have a similar commitment like this year, which has been a good one in terms of the amount of work, of time off and of pay. It definitely helps when you know most of the time how to pay your bills...!

Prayers for all in need of help, for the sick, those in despair, those with other needs, spoken or unspoken:

[Votive] [Votive] [Votive]

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

For Ma and Pa Mad Cat, and for C, for healing, hope and happiness.

For the wife and son of WW’s friend in Mysore.

For Wesley J’s bullying problem to remain solved, for an appropriate number of hours on and off.

For the soul of Erroneous Monk’s J, and for her son M.

For immediate employment for Mr. Chopped. Lord, feed and clothe and care for your sheep.

Extremely anxious about finishing this thing. Worried about encroachment of worst enemy into my network (they get everywhere). Last night I dreamed a great white shark was trying to get into my open but locked window, and I was trying to be rational about the threat level because a) shark mouths aren’t really configured for getting inside ajar-but-open upper floor windows, and b) how long can it reasonably survive outside the water anyway? But, you know, I was still terrified. I feel somewhat the same way about finishing this thing, except that that’s much more of a rational fear.

For P.
