For strength, for healing. O Lord, hear our prayers and let our cry come unto thee.

We have a complicated situation with a lady A possibly losing her home and it's not clear right now just who-all are involved trying to help or what they are doing. I really don't want to muck up things that are already in place horning in where I may not be useful. But she's freaking out. Pray for wisdom for me and help for her?

Reading and praying
Please spare a prayer for R, a very damaged person who needs to stop being disgusted with herself
Please also pray for some pupils at school:
Mr D - a very angry and unhappy boy Mr J - who needs to find a way to accept help, and to think of the impact of his actions Mr O - who needs to reflect on how he feels about that bit of aggression
Continued prayers for C that he may find peace and consolation, and for Ma and Pa Mad Cat.

For a friend, and their friend who died.
For me: Thanks for your ongoing support about my bureaucratic problem. It took a good turn, but there are still lots of problems. And the perpetual stress is really messing up my body. I'm in a lot of pain. Please pray for best possible resolution of all that.
Thanks.

An update on my S. He seems to be doing better, though he is still bedbound, unable to walk, or use his right arm. He has some degree of aphasia, but I am told he is getting better. Please keep him and his wife B and family in your prayers, for further recovery, and for help with his alcoholism.
Prayers for everyone here.

Talking of alcoholism, I am visiting Calicut next week and before I go I really need to tell a friend there that I will be happy for him to come to my hotel room for a visit but to leave the booze behind.

A few years back I asked prayers for M who had a stroke type illness at a young age and ended up being severely disabled.
I heard this weekend that M had died from another stroke. Please pray for his foster parents J and E. Also for his birth mother L and those around her.
It is one of those occasions where I sincerely hope there is a paradise as M had more than his fair share of misfortune during his relatively short life.

It's been a long week.
So, it was gallstones after all ( they were 'hiding', whatever that means.) Two were passed with assistance yesterday, but one will have to be removed surgically within the next few months.

for all in need, especially BF; Kelly's sister (glad to hear it was something that's relatively straightforward to put right); and the people of Fort McMurray, many of whom came originally from Newfoundland to work in the oil industry.

Yes, prayers for all at Fort MacMurray. The latest I've been able to see is that over 53,000 have been evacuated. 1,600 buildings burned, but amazingly no lives lost.

Fr Max-Augustine Eggert, the leader of the group to which our shipmate Emli belongs, was killed earlier this week. He was charged by a bull on his property at Putty (near Sydney), gored and thrown, breaking his neck. Of your charity, pray for him, his family and his community.
