For all driven out of Fort McMurray and all in the path of the fire.
For cousin in law K, who has an infection and may lose a finger if she's not lucky.
For cousin I., needing a throat operation in order to do things like talk, breathe and go back to work.
For cousin K., divorcing after a brief and unfortunate marriage.
For P., worried about his job.
For S., for her life to get simpler. For a good stream of income for P.
For the Telemum.

I have copied this from the Praise and Thanksgiving thread:
quote: Originally posted by Offeiriad: I'd appreciate prayers for/on this coming Tuesday afternoon please: I have an appointment at 2.45pm to see a G I specialist to arrange a colonoscopy. This is a routine job, as I have these every five years after bowel cancer.
I have a slight concern that is not routine though: to discuss a discharge that has developed over the last few months. This could be 'anything' or 'nothing' - the dr may well be able to tell on Tuesday if it is 'something', but possibly not until the actual test (date as yet unknown).
I'm not fond of the idea of surgery (!), so please will you join me in praying that it proves to be 'nothing'! Thank you.
Prayers and upholding from here, Offeiriad.

Offeiriad, colonoscopies are no fun, especially the preparation. Praying that yours goes well and that the discharge indeed proves to be nothing.

For Offeriad and for Thunderbunk's sister.
Please pray for cousin-in-law K's healing. I really don't want her to lose a finger. Last I heard she was neither better nor worse.

No results - everything still up in the air, and my sister being either heroically stoic or foolishly ostrich-like.
Worrying is such an unsatisfactory recreation.

I have had a bad couple of weeks (apart from buying a house, which was fab). I caught a bad cold from a colleague, which then turned into a sinus infection, for which the doctor put me on a high dose of prednisone plus antibiotics. This made me very shaky and uncoordinated and on Sunday night I managed to concuss myself mildly, but badly enough that I'm on bed rest for most of the week. Unfortunately for me, I have a job interview on Friday...
I would rather like to get this job, so I'm praying for enough brain function to sound competent. Part of the challenge is that I will be expected to do a brief part of the interview in Te Reo Maori, and I'm really hoping to do that as well as possible.

Prayers for a good recovery for you, Arabella. I have had prednisone just the once. It did the trick for the ailment it was prescribed for, but the side effects were terrible and I would refuse it in the future.
Prayers especially for the interview.

Another one with a cold checking in! Been dragging this on for weeks, last weekend was ghastly. 2nd or 3rd big cold this year, getting boring. Had a medical checkup on Friday, all results not yet in.
Sorry for being a bore. Prayers appreciated, also that the right meds may be found. Thank you.

Mr. S has flu for the second time this season. He's been poorly since last Wednesday, and seems not to be improving, but of course he won't go to the doctor.
It is Miss S's graduation on Friday and we should have been going down to stay with them the night before, only now of course he can't go and be in the same house as the baby.
Please pray that he will be well enough to allow him to go to the ceremony at least - I'm going come h*ll or high water - and also for patience for me. I'm not a good nurse and he isn't a good patient, and I'm struggling to remember that he can't help it.
Prayers for all posting here, and all those who can't or won't ![[Votive]](graemlins/votive.gif)
