For an 88-year-old woman in San Jose, CA, in the hospital in critical condition. A few days ago, a couple of guys did a home invasion robbery, stealing her jewelry and beating her up. They left. Then they went back and beat her *again*! Grrrr. One suspect is in custody.

Thx.

My rather elderly cat has wandered off. Didn't come home for supper last night, nor breakfast this morning. I am hoping it is minor misadventure (shut into the garage of a neighbor?) rather than the Grim Reaper.

[Votive] for all in need, especially those mentioned above.

Of your charity, please pray for the souls of J., who was a few years below me at school (so in her early 50s); and of V., my sister-in-law's elderly aunt (in her 90s, I believe). Thank you.

Rest eternal grant unto them, O Lord, and let light perpetual shine upon them.

Himself and Herself are, as I type, on the way to Big Hospital in the Big City to discuss Himself's fatty liver problem with appropriate consultant - it is almost certainly linked to his diabetes, it certainly isn't alcohol related as he may have one drink in a year or two.

Mum passed away yesterday morning.

The staff at the care home found her in the morning not breathing and with no pulse. I came as a complete surprise. I should be upset, but I'm just numb, not feeling anything about anything.

Please pray for LRP and me, for the rest of the family and especially for Dad: It's just short of 65 years they would have been together.
