Please could you pray for my dad, who has just phoned me from his local Accident & Emergency dept, where he was sent by his GP after an ECG this afternoon showed up something-or-other. He's currently waiting to be seen (will probably be another 2+ hours from what he was saying), and my mum (who is with him) will be flapping and super-anxious. Both my sister and me are a long way away.

Thanks for prayers. Dad told me the hospital had originally wanted him to stay overnight but decided that since he didn't have chest pains and the anomoly (a slight blockage, apparently) is mild he could go home, and they are not planning on seeing him again unless he gets chest pains. So the immediate panic is over. We will be down there over the Christmas holidays, so I will see how things are then.

My Beloved Goddaughter seems determined to turn into the Teenager from Hell and screw up her life. Please pray for wisdom for all those of us who love her, or teach her, or otherwise interact with her. Underneath the rudeness, bravado and sheer stupidity there's a really nice kid.

I love hearing from friends at this time of year. Two who contacted me today have matters of great concern.
College friend T's son C has an aggressive cancer and is starting chemo.
Work friend P's sister has cancer and has been given a year to live. Her son R has a drug problem. My heart is full, please join me in prayer.

Please pray for travelling mercies for Ma and Pa Mad Cat, who are currently en route from the UK to Aus to visit the grand-kittens for Christmas.
The trip was planned before the appearance of the Trump - sorry - tumour, and Ma Mad Cat's gruelling treatment. However, the clever doctor lady got the rays and the chemicals to zap the Trump, and Ma MC, although bloodied, is unbowed.
Please pray that all goes well. This will be her first (and possibly only) Christmas with the kittens.

I have just learned that Mr. C, a volunteer here at the library, has been placed in a nursing home, I don't know if it's a permanent placement or just for rehab or what. Please pray for him and his wife, who is in poor health so she couldn't take care of him at home.
