I am on my lumch break and though I have not got an hour I pray for you Molly that you will know comfort both of God and of the body until you are at rest. Hugal

May the Lord above look down on Molly's family at this time. May all who love Molly be united in love and in prayer. Goodnight my dear sweet angel. ![[Tear]](graemlins/tear.gif)

I am going off line now... but will be praying for Molly, her family and friends and all those other shipmates who have been loving enough to bring us all the news (you all know who you are). May God shine His light over all who feel sorrow, all who pray and all who are torn up with sadness at this time. May we all find comfort, and may we all feel blessed to have known such a wonderful friend. At the going down of the sun and in the morning.. we will never forget..

Dear Lord, please strengthen all of Miss Molly's family and friends at this time, especially her mother, Songbird Donna, TimothyL, Mrs Dillon and St Seb. Grant them all peace and please provide them with people to lean on and hold them.
We ask that you will pour out love and comfort on Molly. Please look after her, and please let her know that she is loved so deeply by you and by so many others, that she is such a dear one to us, and held so tenderly in our hearts. We ask that if these are to be her last days or hours that she might have some respite from the hallucinations, and especially that those near her may be able to speak with her and her with them.
Lord, I don't know if you will answer but I know you will hear. Amen.

God, please keep blessing Molly and St. Seb and her family and all the others in her life right now; help her hold on to you through all the painful times and especially the hallucinations, and guide her safely Home. In Jesus' Name, amen.

Lord this day, I pray that You draw even closer to Molly as You call her home into Your loving arms.
I pray You give Peace to her loved ones and strength in You.
Amen.
Abide with me, fast falls the eventide; the darkness deepens, Lord with me abide; when other helpers fail, and comforts flee, help of the helpless, O abide with me.
Swift to its close ebbs out life's little day; earth's joys grown dim, its glorious pass away; change and decay in all around I see: O Thou who changest not, abide with me!
I need Thy presence every passing hour; what but Thy grace can foil the tempter's power? Who like Thyself my guide and stay can be? Through cloud and sunshine, O abide with me.
I fear no foe with Thee at hand to bless; ills have no weight, and tears no bitterness. Where is death's sting? where, grae, thy victory? I triumph still, if Thou abide with me.
Hold Thou Thy cross before my closing eyes, shine through the gloom, and point me to the skies; heaven's morning breaks, and earth's vain shadows flee: in life, in death; O Lord, abide with me!

Lord Jesus you have abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. Please guide our dear sister Molly into your eternal light and show her and all who care for her your grace, mercy and peace. Thank you, Lord. Amen

Lord, in weakness or in strength we bear your image. We pray for those we love who now live in a land of shadows, where the light of memory is dimmed, where the familiar lies unknown, where the beloved become as strangers. Hold them in your everlasting arms, and grant to those who care a strength to serve, a patience to persevere, a love to last and a peace that passes human understanding. Hold us in your everlasting arms, today and for all eternity; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Heavenly Father, you have not made us for darkness and death, but for life with you for ever. Without you we have nothing to hope for; with you we have nothing to fear. Speak to us now your words of eternal life. Lift us from anxiety and guilt to the light and peace of your presence, and set the glory of your love before us; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

A slightly different version of 'What is dying?' by Bishop Brent (Phillipines) which has appeared either on this thread or one of the others.
I am standing on the sea shore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and I stand and watch her until at last she fades on the horizon.
Then someone at my side says 'There she has gone.'
Gone where?
Gone from my sight - that is all. She is just as large in the mast, hull and spar as she was when she left my side.... the diminished size and total loss of sight is in me and not in her, and just at the moment when someone by my side says 'She's gone,' others take up the glad shout - 'There she comes.'
With prayers for Molly, her parents, her sisters, her helpers and friends and carers. God strengthen and comfort all of you.

I'm listening to a CD of traditional Irish religious songs; the first one has a lovely lilting refrain and the words:
Glory may he be and blessed now is she, And those who sing the seven long verses in honor of our Ladye, Sing alleluia, sing alleluia! Sing alleluia, the heavens are true, sing alleluia!
The words on the page don't convey the wonderful feeling of the song, but listening to it while thinking of Miss Molly, it makes me feel that it is the sound of the angels singing Molly into Heaven. It's a lovely, happy song, and I hope that as I listen to it, somehow it will enter into Molly's hallucinations and help her see the brightness to come.
I also pray that the joy of this song will be conveyed to Molly's sister, mother, and all those who are caring for her during this time.
Lord, Thy will be done.

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside still waters; he restores my soul. He leads me in right paths for his name's sake.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and your staff -- they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
