Put me down for 7-8am tomorrow.

And to make sure I'm [Eek!] then, I'm off to [Snore] now.

The Lord Almighty grant us a quiet night and a perfect end. Amen.

Into thy hands, O Lord, I commend my spirit. For thou hast redeemed me, O Lord, thou God of truth, I commend my spirit. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; Into thy hands, O Lord, I commend my spirit.

Keep me as an apple of an eye;
Hide me under the shadow of thy wings.

Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace.
Lord have mercy upon us, Christ have mercy upon us, Lord have mercy upon us.
The Almighty and most merciful Lord grant us his blessing. Amen.

Be present, O merciful God, and protect us through the silent hours of this night, so that we who are wearied by the changes and chances of this fleeting world, may repose upon thy eternal changelessness; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

May the souls of the faithful, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Finished my "official" hour, but will continue adding my voice to those who are praying.

And I will lift my voice to worship you my King, and I will find my strength in the shadow of your wings.

God our refuge and strength,
close at hand in our distress;
meet us all in our sorrow and lift our eyes
to the peace and light of your constant care.
Help us so to hear your word of grace
that our fear will be dispelled by your love,
our loneliness eased by your presence
and our hope renewed by your promises
in Jesus Christ our Lord.

I shall be praying as I drive tomorrow moring between 9 and 10am.

It is said that Saint Elizabeth, Grand Duchess of Russia, as she lay dying, martyred; sang over and over the Cherubimic Hymn.

In the moment in the Orthodox Divine Liturgy when we as participants in the prayers and hymns have ascended from the earthly realm into the very Heavenlies with all the Saints and the Trinity, this is what we sing, quite slowly and reverently:

We who mystically represent the Cherubim, and sing to the life-giving Trinity the thrice-holy hymn, let us now lay aside all earthly care: that we may receive the King of all, who comes invisibly upborne by the Angelic Hosts. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.

I sing it this hour in prayer for Molly.

praying, knowing lovely molly's so safe in Father's embrace. i pray, Father, for those she leaves waiting, that they feel Your hand wiping away their tears and storing their preciousness in Your bottle.

i've learned volumes from molly & even now feel the impact of the wondrous opportunity to grow in faith by observing her vivacious spirit in action. i hope i can hold up Light as steadily as she.

"God knows and cares, and uses for us a means of education for our hearts and spirits which we do not ourselves understand. It is not needful that we understand the motive power in the processes that go on within us. It is enough to him who believes it that the Lord did rise again,
although after that he was hidden from their sight. Yes, I will believe that I shall hold my own in my arms again, their hearts nearer to mine than ever before."

Just as an FYI... I've added a temporary chapel to the cafe, as a space for those of you who want to pray online with others. You're not obligated to use it, but it's there, just in case.

U2, on their early "War" Cd have a very nice version of Psalm 40. So soothing, like a baby being rocked to a heartbeat.

He set my feet upon a rock and made my footsteps firm - many will see, many will see and fear...I will sing, sing a new song.......

Sleep well, dearest Molly. Be comforted and at peace.

Blessed by the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. By his great mercy we have been born anew to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

Blessed be God for ever.

Eternal God,
grant to your servant, and to us who surround her with our prayers, your peace beyond understanding. Give us faith, the comfort of your presence, and the words to say to one another and to you, as we gather in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Before the ending of the day,
Creator of the world, we pray
That you with steadfast love would keep
Your watch around us whilst we sleep.

From evil dreams defend our sight
From fears and terrors of the night,
Tread underfoot our deadly foe
That we no sinful thought may know.

Oh Father, that we ask be done,
Through Jesus Christ, your only son,
And holy spirit, by whose breath
Our souls are raised to life, from death.

The servants of the Lamb shall see the face of God, whose name will be on their foreheads. There will be no more night: They will not need the light of the lamp or the light of the sun, for God will be their light, and they will reign for ever and ever. (Revelation 22:4,5)

Save us, O Lord, while waking,
And guard us while sleping,
that awake we may watch with Christ
and asleep may rest in peace.

Now, Lord, you let your servant go in peace:
Your word has been fulfilled.

My own eyes have seen the salvation
which you have prepared in the sight of every people;

A light to reveal you to the nations
and the Glory of your people Israel.

Save us, O Lord, while waking,
And guard us while sleeping,
That awake we may watch with Christ,
and asleep may rest in peace.

[taken from night prayer, said this night for Molly]

Sorry, can't take a whole hour, but will pray when I can.

Emily

Into your hands, Father of mercies,
we commend our sister Miss_Molly
in the sure and certain hope
that, together with all who have died in Christ,
He will rise with her on the last day.
Merciful Lord,
turn toward us and listen to our prayers:
open the gates of paradise to your servant
and help us who remain
to comfort one another with assurances of faith,
until we all meet in Christ
and are with you and with our sister for ever.

Abide with me; fast falls the eventide;
The darkness deepens; Lord with me abide.
When other helpers fail and comforts flee,
Help of the helpless, O abide with me.

Swift to its close ebbs out life’s little day;
Earth’s joys grow dim; its glories pass away;
Change and decay in all around I see;
O Thou who changest not, abide with me.

I fear no foe, with Thee at hand to bless;
Ills have no weight, and tears no bitterness.
Where is death’s sting? Where, grave, thy victory?
I triumph still, if Thou abide with me.

It is 1:40pm Australian time. I am here praying for the next hour.

--------------------
Keep me as the apple of Your eye.
Hide me under the shadow of Your wings.

Started at the top of the hour, and am just now remembering to log in ...

As the deer longs for the water-brooks,
so longs my soul for you, O God.

My soul is athirst for God, athirst for the living God;
when shall I come to appear before the presence of God?

My tears have been my food day and night,
while all day long they say to me,
"Where now is your God?"

I pour out my soul when I think on these things:
how I went with the multitude and led them into the house of God,

With the voice of praise and thanksgiving,
among those who keep holy-day.

Why are you so full of heaviness, O my soul?
and why are you so disquieted within me?

Put your trust in God;
for I will yet give thanks to him,
who is the help of my countenance, and my God.

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
he leads me beside still waters;
he restores my soul.
He leads me in right paths for his name's sake.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I fear no evil;
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff - they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
my whole life long.

Into your hands, O merciful Saviour,
we commend your servant, Miss Molly (Linda).
Acknowledge, we pray, a sheep of your own fold,
a lamb of your own flock,
a sinner of your own redeeming.
Enfold her in the arms of your mercy,
in the blessed rest of everlasting peace
and in the glorious company of the saints in light.
Amen.

Jesus, Lover of my soul,
Let me to thy bosom fly,
While the nearer waters roll,
While the tempest still is high:
Hide me, O my Saviour, hide,
Till the storm of life be past;
Safe into the haven guide,
O receive my soul at last.

Other refuge have I none,
Hangs my helpless soul on thee;
Leave, ah! leave me not alone,
Still support and comfort me!
All my trust on thee is stayed;
All my help from thee I bring;
Cover my defenceless head
With the shadow of thy wing.

Plenteous grace with thee is found,
Grace to cleanse from ev'ry sin;
Let the healing streams abound,
Make and keep me pure within.
Thou of life the fountain art,
Freely let me take of thee:
Spring thou up within my heart,
Rise to all eternity.

*insomniac random addition to rota*

Guide me, O Thou great Redeemer
Pilgrim through this barren land.
I am weak, but Thou art mighty;
Hold me with Thy powerful hand.
Bread of heaven, bread of heaven,
Feed me till I want no more;
Feed me till I want no more.

Open now the crystal fountain,
Whence the healing stream doth flow;
Let the fire and cloudy pillar
Lead me all my journey through.
Strong Deliverer, strong Deliverer,
Be Thou still my Strength and Shield;
Be Thou still my Strength and Shield.

Lord, I trust Thy mighty power,
Wondrous are Thy works of old;
Thou deliver’st Thine from thralldom,
Who for naught themselves had sold:
Thou didst conquer, Thou didst conquer,
Sin, and Satan and the grave,
Sin, and Satan and the grave.

When I tread the verge of Jordan,
Bid my anxious fears subside;
Death of deaths, and hell’s destruction,
Land me safe on Canaan’s side.
Songs of praises, songs of praises,
I will ever give to Thee;
I will ever give to Thee.

Musing on my habitation,
Musing on my heav’nly home,
Fills my soul with holy longings:
Come, my Jesus, quickly come;
Vanity is all I see;
Lord, I long to be with Thee!
Lord, I long to be with Thee!

one of my fav. verses:

John 4:16 We know the love God has for us, and we trust that love. Those who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.

Molly, dear heart- you most definately live in love... May that love uphold you, and those you love, this hour and forever more.
Amen.

My prayer for Miss Molly is a lovely old hymn called "Jewels"....

When He cometh, when He cometh,
To make up his jewels,
All his jewels, precious jewels,
His loved and His own

Like the stars of the morning,
His bright crown adorning
They shall shine in their beauty,
bright gems for His crown

He will gather, He will gather
The gems for His kingdom
All the pure ones, all the bright ones,
His loved and His own

Like the stars of the morning,
His bright crown adorning
They shall shine in their beauty,
bright gems for His crown

Little children, little children
Who love their Redeemer
Are the jewels, precious jewels,
His loved and His own

Like the stars of the morning,
His bright crown adorning
They shall shine in their beauty,
bright gems for His crown. Amen

Miss Molly, Fare Thee Well
With Love

Today is such that I'll be praying as I drive around.

But I will be.

Peace be with you Molly.

Lord, in this cold dark night, be with Molly, her family, and her friends. Let your love and mercy fall upon them, comforting them in this time.
Amen.

Psalm 51:1-2

Have mercy upon me, O God, according to they lovingkindness: according until the multitude of they tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
Wash me thorougly from mine iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.

Goodnight, my angel
Time to close your eyes
And save these questions for another day
I think I know what you've been asking me
I think you know what I've been trying to say
I promised I would never leave you
And you should always know
Wherever you may go
No matter where you are
I never will be far away

Goodnight, my angel
Now it's time to sleep
And still so many things I want to say
Remember all the songs you sang for me
When we went sailing on an emerald bay
And like a boat out on the ocean
I'm rocking you to sleep
The water's dark
And deep inside this ancient heart
You'll always be a part of me

Goodnight, my angel
Now it's time to dream
And dream how wonderful your life will be
Someday your child may cry
And if you sing this lullabye
Then in your heart
There will always be a part of me

Someday we'll all be gone
But lullabyes go on and on...
They never die
That's how you
And I
Will be

This is a favorite hymn...

Fairest Lord Jesus, Ruler of all nature,
O Thou of God and man the Son,
Thee will I cherish, Thee will I honor,
Thou, my soul’s glory, joy and crown.

Fair are the meadows, fairer still the woodlands,
Robed in the blooming garb of spring;
Jesus is fairer, Jesus is purer,
Who makes the woeful heart to sing.

Fair is the sunshine,
Fairer still the moonlight,
And all the twinkling starry host;
Jesus shines brighter, Jesus shines purer
Than all the angels heaven can boast.

All fairest beauty, heavenly and earthly,
Wondrously, Jesus, is found in Thee;
None can be nearer, fairer or dearer,
Than Thou, my Savior, art to me.

Beautiful Savior! Lord of all the nations!
Son of God and Son of Man!
Glory and honor, praise, adoration,
Now and forever more be Thine.

Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word. For mine eyes have seen thy salvation.

May the Lord bless you and keep you; may the Lord make His face to shine upon you, and be gracious unto you. May the Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.
Numbers 6:24-26

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost but now I'm found,
Was blind but now I see

When we've been there ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun
We've no less days to sing God's praise
Than when we first begun.

My prayers are with you Molly. You have been an inspiration to me with the way you have quietly shared God's love with everyone you have had contact with on the ship. You are a precious, precious child of God, and I pray God will grant you peace and comfort.

God bless you Mejuffrouw Molly, and fold you in his arms.

May God's angels watch over you and those who love you...

Sleep my child, and peace attend thee, all through the night.
