Does anyone here have any knowledge/experience/opinions of the Orange Christian education program? The website seems a bit short on specifics. How well does it address diversity in the church and the community, for example? Our congregation is going for it, and of course the youth leader is 'very excited' about it, as one must always be these days. It's a done deal here, but I'd be interested to know how others have found it.

Never heard of it, and the link just leads to an otherwise blank 'Log In' page...

Can you give other links, or details?

Hm... The link seems to work from here, but there's this too. There's not much there. The man behind it all is Reggie Joiner, of whom I had never heard before.

That second link works, thank you. There are some details if you scroll down quite a way. I have never heard that name, but that could well be a matter of geography.

Edited to add that Second

I wondered about the use of the word Orange in such a context. It brought many different once provocative ideas to mind.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who had that thought, Loth. [Two face]

I was carefully keeping that thought to myself until someone else brought it up. I've already made it known that I think some visitors arriving at the front door to be confronted by orange T shirts - part of the plan - will likely spin on their heels and leave.

I found thinkorange.com

There's also this orangeblogs.org/orangeleaders/author/reggie-joiner/

Here he is talking: whatisorange.org/

His church is in USA, Georgia: northpoint.org/about/

Wikpedia says 36,000 people show up at the 6 churches. The originator of the program is apparently one of the ministers at a executive level. The info indicates that they subscribe to inerrancy.

Not to be confused with orangetheoryfitness.com/

(please do the links yourself, don't want to overload the hosts, just copy and paste links)

Gentle hostly oink

no prophet's flag is set so...

I appreciate your good intentions, but as we have to check the links anyway (just in case), it would have been easier if you'd put them as actual URL links.

Thank you.

Thanks for the new links, NP. I half expected that's what would emerge, as our new youth leader has a very conservative Baptist background - an odd fit for a Presbyterian (PCC) congregation.
