Alice Munro, Canadian short story writer, has won the Nobel Prize for Literature. Generous tribute from Margaret Atwood, whom I would have thought deserved it herself. But Munro's not undeserving either. I haven't read as much of her as I'd like. Anyone else read her?

I'm convinced I have. Can't remember what. Reading a list of titles doesn't ring any bells. Still, the name sounds familiar. The covers on the books looks familiar. I've read a ton of short stories.

She is a national treasure. The literary community across the country is all abuzz, and her publisher must be frantically but delightedly getting out reprints.
Somebody sent me this link to stories of hers published in the New Yorker -- I haven't gone through them yet, but apparently some are behind a paywall and some freely available.
