After a long time hosting several different boards on the Ship, most recently Purgatory, Doublethink has decided it is time to hang up the host hat and let someone else take over.

We would like to thank Doublethink for all the work she has put into hosting over the years.

Stepping up to take over in Purgatory we welcome Eutychus. Just don't press too hard to welcome him, that's an open window behind him ...

I'm going to miss Doublethink a lot; her acuity, sensitivity and conscientiousness have made her a really great colleague as well as an excellent Host. Thanks for your comradeship and support, DT.

A very warm welcome, Eutychus. After rather more than the usual hazing "fun" of the Hosting training thread, I think you're well prepared! I like the shiny new avatar as well. Very best wishes in your new role.

Doublethink, I hope you know that I've really enjoyed hosting Purg with you. Enjoy not having to read everything in Purgatory!

Eutychus, I think you're going to be great, and very glad you've joined the asylum!

And Eutychus is too nice. It'll take forever to train the hate into him.

It's just so inconvenient.

I think it more that DT's physician has finally found the correct balance of meds and Eutychus' chemist filled the wrong prescription.

Thanks for all your work over so many years, Think^2! Come join us over in the ex-hosts' lounge (the nibbles aren't so fancy, but the Monday morning quarterbacking is so much more fun).

Farewell, DT! don't be a stranger! I think I left some junk food in the former-hosts lounge, unless Chorister and Hart got into it all.

Doublethink has been a fantastic host. I'm extremely sorry to see her go, but glad she's leaving before it's too late. How she's managed to read all she's had to read is a great mystery. I, myself, not only fail to make sense on most days, my memory is getting so bad, I'm libel to repeat the same incoherent post on the same thread the very next day.

God save her and he who follows her.

It's too late for all of us already.

But what a fabulous hosting career - from ecclesiantics at it's rebirth through purg and I believe a spot in hell, all delivered with thought, fairness, panache and just a little sarcasm from time to time as needed.
