Not to be pedantic, but to be pedantic: is there a way we can continue this? Rules, or suchlike? A way to continue, perhaps? —Ariston, Circus Host

Use the same word as many times as you can without repeating the meaning.

And you'll need a space between "Dog" and "and" and "and" and Duck.
Bugger. Sorry - didn't take on board needing different meanings. My bad. [ 24. August 2013, 21:04: Message edited by: kingsfold ]

OK, how about:
Set set down his chess set, played a set of tennis, then set forth his plans to take dancing lessons (to learn to set), and still had time to set a date for a game of Set whilst waiting for his jam to set.
How many other sets could I wangle in there? At what point does a shade of meaning become a whole new meaning?

Also works with "fish." Except the meaning does repeat itself once you get to a direct object: "Fish fish fish." And "Fish" doesn't function as a place-name. Or is there a town called Fish anywhere? [ 01. September 2013, 23:48: Message edited by: churchgeek ]
