Calling all nearby, how about booking a Women's History Tour ?

I am aware of at least one shipmate who is involved in guiding these walks, so it could double as a proper shipmeet.

Cattyish, what era shall I wear?

I'll be wearing a Suffragette outfit (long black skirt, white blouse, violet/white/green necklace and large hat.)

I'm still trying to figure out how to make a sash.

I'm sure there are people in Northern Ireland who could help, although they might baulk at putting green in it ... [Devil]

Would it work to get a length each of green, white and violet ribbon and either stitch or glue them together? Or a fabric striped with the required colours, cut into strips and the strips stitched together to make long stripes?

You can get cheap single colour white or purple ones with 'Votes for Women' on them on eBay. I'd be inclined to sew wide ribbons or fabric together though, as piglet suggested, to get what you want.

This will sound odd but if you want a pattern I suggest you get this book and look at the pattern for a Deacon Stole and adjust (i.e. do not make it from so heavy so it can be tied).

Surfing Madness, what days might be better for you? It would be lovely to protest for women's suffrage with you!

Cattyish, full of korma.
