So, the polls are all confusing and we could get just as good an idea of what people will vote for regarding an independent Scotland here on the ship as we will from the poll in The Sun. Vote now shippies; battered Mars Bars as a national dish and whisky as an expensive import into Little Britain or creamed Salmon roulade with a side of Jerusalem artichoke?

This poll has been moved to another board.

I was going to have an option for the fence, but I don't think the upcoming referendum allows for that either; unless of course you were to decide not to vote which could be taken as 'undecided'.

You can't - there's no facility for editing polls once they're created. You'll just have to start again and get this thread closed.

I wouldn't worry about the lack of a fencesitting/third option. Your poll is a neat satire of the real Scottish independance referendum, and the ill-fated "proportional representation" poll a few years ago.

Both damned by the question.

I see the poll as a comment on predestination and free will.

I think you'll find the PR poll was damned by Nick Clegg.

That was a major factor. Had he any balls he'd have insisted on a better question as a condition for the pact. For now, Labour has the only Balls in Westminster.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand. Fletcher Christian, do you want to try again? If so, I'll close this thread. If not, I'll leave it open for a while so that everyone can have their fun. [Smile]

This is the best poll I've seen in a long time. What's more, the results (as of now) are unanimous!

It is missing some option isn't it?:

  • Is it better to play the bagpipes or by train?
  • When is a kilt?
  • Where is the scotch?
  • What happens when a thistle and maple tree mate?
  • Bannock?

In court cases and politics, they say never to ask a question unless you already know the answer. I'd say as a political poll this is nigh on perfect.
