Any suggestions? I'm struggling… I have one looking at the transfiguration's impact on iconography (which is great for what it sets out to do). Interested in something that explores the significance of the transfiguration in the Gospel narrative, or what it says about the nature of Christ and humanity.
Grateful for suggestions and what you like about the book

I'm struggling, too – no book on this specific topic comes to mind. Obviously it is covered in commentaries, but you probably don't get a really in-depth exploration of the theme. It is celebrated in the more liturgical churches, but I don't know how far the theme is explored in those settings against the aspect of Jesus' nature.
A search on Google Books threw up a book by Dorothy Lee, entitled Transfiguration, which might perhaps be of some use? The blurb says that Lee investigates the various accounts as representations of Jesus' true identity. I haven't read it and the Google snip is limited, so am not able to offer any thoughts on it. Sorry!

A search for "su:jesus christ transfiguration" on World Cat brings up a few possibilities.
Can't vouch for any of them.
