Let me just start out by stating that * am shocked, shocked, at the arbitrariness of the hosts and admins that is currently going on on the ship. This never would have happened when Erin was around!

In addition to all this chaos being wrecked on the ship due to the hosts just doing whatever they like, * would like to say that the design is way too old and the software seems to be bugging out more and more every day!

For example, the main directory menu sends me all the wrong way. * end up in Hull whenever * want to go to Heaven and * don't know what! Great ****t!

This in itself is not a major letdown if it weren't for the confusion of the hosts and the liberal bias and control of the ship leading to people starting threads everywhere and anywhere about everything and anything - so my question is this:

Given the ongoing dysadministration, are we supposed to act according to the laws of the direction we were originally clicking for in the main menu, or according to the image and proper form of the place where we end up? And is this mistreatment of human trust and decency really morally defensible?

And hosts and admins, if you dare muck about with my post gaga flippy wahey or move it about without my express permission, * shall not hesitate to take legal precautions in defending my write to free speech on your website!

Ah, here *e are in the land of the close te*tual analysis. The most salient feature of this te*t is that in this cult. the first person nominative pronoun is too sacred to be *ritten out, replaced *ith an asterisk each time.

*e are not sure ho* this pronoun *as pronounced. Some scholars have suggested "O*, the Great and Terrible", but this is all conjecture. *hile *aiting for further results on this matter, *e suggest pronouncing the sacred pronoun as "Q". Or "M", if you prefer and are feeling more like the po*erful head of a spy service than like the clever dogsbody designing *eaponi*ed cars that *ill never be brought back to the garage in one piece.

Ho*ever the pronoun *as pronounced, *e are in no doubt as to *hat its sacred status signifies: that this cult privileged the authors. Or rather, the author, singular. Such attitudes as believing in a unitary author *ho speaks the te*t in a single layer of intended meaning reveal the primitive and oppressive nature of this cult.

Although the cult did not understand the multivalent nature of te*ts, they *ere nevertheless astute observers of human nature, and *e can glean much about their personality and culture from the clear multivocal strands in the te*t. Here, the surface meaning appears to be a plaint, but this is a clever rhetorical device by the first author, conventionally called J, *hich only lightly disguises the second author's (F) ode to the cult festival "H&A Days." But it is the third author, H, *ho e*presses the cultically significant command that is the reason it *as originally set do*n. *e barely need repeat that meaning, it springs from the page so clearly, but it is good to be complete in all things, and so *e record H's message: "Kippers for breakfast, please."

No, no, today it is in exactly the right place. Admittedly it should probably be in Ye Olde 1662 ***l***e, but otherwise a wise contribution.
